My wife and I and two friends were passing through Wooler on our St Cuthbert's Way hike and stayed overnight at Tilldale House one chilly night in October. Sara (the new owner) made us exceptionally welcome and we felt immediately at home in this cosy retreat. The B&B is wonderfully quiet and our rooms (we had a twin upstairs and...

We recently stayed at this lovely B&B for 3 nights, Weds-Fri. Would highly recommend it. Located on the High St in the centre of this charming village. Noise was not an issue as the street is very quiet in the evening. We had the ground floor room, comprising of seperate entrance, small lounge, bedroom and bathroom, all beautifully presented and...

Our group of 5 stayed for one night whilst cycling the Sandstone Way. Communication from Julia when booking was excellent and then received a warm friendly welcome upon our arrival. You cannot go wrong with this B&B. Spotlessly clean and very homely with everything you need provided, even a place to store our bikes which was great. Breakfast was perfect...

Stayed here with my partner for 1 night and what a lovely guest house this is. Julia could not do enough for us and the breakfast she cooked was out of this world. The bedroom was spotless and very spacious I just can't find anything wrong with the place. Loved loved loved it.

We arrived dripping wet, while doing the St Cuthbert's Walk, our reception couldn't have been warmer. Tilldale House is very well organised to deal with wet clothes, boots and walkers! The room and furnishings were of a very high standard and a very well equiped bathroom had sensible sized containers of shower and hair washing stuff, not the small individual...

This B & B was recommended to me so I knew it would be good. The room was fabulous too and the breakfast!!! Everything you could want, a super selection of marmalades & spreads, jams & Marmite (in a jar, not those awful little packets). Julia wants everyone to be happy & comfortable and she loves Northumberland. It's a beautiful...

Wooler is a wonderful centre either for touring Northumberland or in our case for walking. The Cheviots provide superb walking routes and a superb place to stay is Wooler. In Wooler Tilldale House is unlikely to be bettered for accommodation; Julia is a fantastic host serving great breakfasts and the rooms are so comfortable with absolutely everything you need. Just...

This was our overnight stop at the end of the third day of the St. Cuthbert's Way walk. Great big room and bathroom, warm welcome, and nice breakfast, what more could you want? Really enjoyed this small town too, pleasant places to eat and picturesque streets to wander around.
