The place itself was nice, we were in catkin cottage and booked very last minute. Made all the arrangements by phone and staff were very accommodating and helpful. The cottage was lovely and warm when we walked in, everything was clean and the cottage itself was well appointed. There was a pool, sauna, jacuzzi and games room on site, however...

We spent a week over Christmas in a lovely warm cosy cottage. The cottage kitchen was well equipped. The only drawback is that there is no Wifi available. Akeld Manor is near to Berwick and Alnwick which are both worth visiting.

Stayed here several years ago. Accommodation smelled as though it had recently been flooded. Staff unhelpful if not actually rude. Little for children to do on site. We have not been back and have no plans to do so.

This review shares our experience of Pansy Plot Cottage which I consider to be one of the more attractive on site. This is a lovely comfortable resort to explore Northumberland and Scotland. The amenities are ok, but the closure of the bar facilities leave a very large hole. We found the staff very helpful and able to deal with any problems...

We were in cottage 19, Cherry Burn, and it was huge! The door opened into a slate floor lobby with good size coat cupboard The kitchen was directly in front also a good size, but oddly laid out with the fridge freezer in the corner up against the wall with the doors opening right to left! Also the sink was...

On site there are a number of cottages and we stayed in Freesia. Entering the cottage you find the two bedrooms. One with two beds and the master bedroom with double bed and small ensuite. Upstairs there is a family bathroom, kitchen and sitting room. In the sitting room there is a dining table just big enough for four people,...

Booked the Manor house at Akeld, just by Wooler for a long weekend with a group of 15 people, 8 adults and 7 children. Manor House is very old(obviously) but in need of a serious overhaul. The decor is dated, and the bathrooms are very tired. Only 1 shower which for a house with 8 bedrooms advertising itself for groups...

Just far enough out of Wooler to enjoy the countryside approx. 2 miles. We were transferred here by RCI in early August due another booked resort at Richmond suffered some storm/flood damage. Being 560km from our base in London it was a struggle with kids and 8 hrs on the highways on M25 and M1/A1 to arrive. Enjoyed our week...

Our family group of 11 had a very enjoyable week in this tremendous location. The accommodation itself was very big but also very dated with tired decor and veryold fashioned crockery etc. It is surprising that towels are not included in what was not a cheap rental. Also it was a disappointment there was no welcome pack and although they...
