We arrived on the Saturday evening to a very friendly welcome and we were also kindly upgraded. We were then advised of nearby places to eat, one being the tapas restaurant within the hotel and another their sister restaurant which is an Italian across the road. The room was of a good size, tastefully decorated with an authentic feature fireplace...

Ate here for 2 nights as we were so impressed with the food..drink and ambience. The tapas were delicious. ..and very reasonably prices ...gorgeous cocktails crafted by the lovely pleasant jack and excellent service from waitress hayley. We would probably have eaten again here a 3rd night if it wasn't shut on a Sunday.

A really special place to stay, great rooms and excellent food. Staff could not have been more helpful. The hotel is interestingly and nicely decorated. A choice of gins in the bar was an added extra, though no Alnwick Gin yet!
