All that has been said of Eildon's welcome is true. She has a lovely smile and her food is fabulous. She is an outstanding cook and makes delicious and interesting meals; just what is needed after long walks. We stayed in the cottage with our dog. It is warm and welcoming and we were able to curl up with a...

My second visit to Hethpool, though last time I stayed in the cottage. This is beautiful old house, has some splendour but also a famil home with character and a lived in feel. Eildon and Martin are friendly and welcoming and Eildon gives her guests 100% and us accommodating. Few are the places where you can ask for a late...

The house itself seems to welcome you -- fresh flowers in each room, friendly homemade cakes at tea, marvelous meals, helpful and gracious hosts -- right on St. Cuthbert's Way. We were warmly greeted and served a splendid dinner (with two luscious dessert options -- my walking partner eats gluten-free), and had the most comfortable sleep in down bedding in...

Hethpoo is a lovely location away from the busy world nestling in a beautiful valley and surrounded by hills for great walks. You are welcomed into the Letts' family home with great food. Breakfasts set you up for the day and supper is lovely.

I stayed in a really good sized twin bedded room with very comfortable beds and a lovely view over the garden. We felt very relaxed in this lovely home, and every care was taken to make sure we had everything we needed.

I doubt if you will find a better host, a better location, more comfortable beds, nor better food anywhere in the UK never mind Northumberland. Eildon and her daughter made us more than welcome, and produced superb food during our stay. This place is an absolute gem, located in the heart of the Cheviots, our bedroom had magnificent views, and...

Before our stay at Hethpool I had read many of the reviews posted by previous visitors. So, my wife and I were expecting a warm welcome, good food, old fashioned comfort and a sense of being looked after. Our expectations were fully met and indeed enhanced. We have been "B and B ing" for many years and we have never...

We stayed as a group while walking the SCW and had a wonderful warm welcome despite the fact that we arrived very early afternoon, we would have been denied entrance in some B and Bs! Greeted with tea and cake and then thoroughly enjoyed a delicious meal in the evening.....as we cleared the dishes we were even offered more, but...

We stayed at Hethpool House for 2 nights in March. On both nights we stayed in the lovely cottage next to the house. Eildon, our host served breakfast and evening meal in the main house each day. Eildon was a charming host and a wonderful cook!. We sat next to a roaring fire and ate delicious food. The College Valley...
