Belvue Guesthouse, Holy Island, provides high-standard accommodation for those who want to stay ‘on island’ in this beautiful location. We have two luxury studios with kitchenettes and one 'no frills' twin room. All rooms have been renovated to an exacting standard and include en suite rainfall showers, fluffy towels and luxury toiletries, as well as very comfortable beds with crisp hotel-quality linen. Belvue guesthouse is based in Chare Ends, only a few minutes walk from the shops, cafes and pubs in Holy Island village, and of course in a prime location for exploring Lindisfarne Priory, Lindisfarne Castle and the nature reserve. Our 'hands off' policy is designed to give our guests peace and tranquility with hosts who are available if you need them, but without the feeling as though you are staying in someone's house.

Booked almost last minute towards the end of the season, we were able to secure two nights in the Belvue Guesthouse "No Frills" suite, the Pilgrim Room. We were not disappointed with our space.
2 very comfortable single beds with a small 3 drawer chest between. A throw was provided on each bed if preferred or required. There are a couple of shelves on the wall below the bed which had a kettle, beverages and cereal bars (these were refreshed the following morning), as well as hanging space for clothing below with adequate space. Additional and ample hanging space is provided on the entry door. There was plenty space to store our travel cases beneath the shelves, and additional storage space is available under the beds. A radiator with very easy settings can heat the suite if required. A mirrored sliding door leads to the shower room/lavatory. The shower is excellent, 2 heads with both heat and strength in the flow. Underfloor heating within this area was welcome!
The whole space, from entry into Belvue and your suite itself, is immaculately clean and very well presented with no expense spared on the welcome packages and toiletries. The WiFi is excellent, there is a TV with a good selection of channels, you can also log in to your own accounts on subscription channels. Or if you prefer to read, there is a very adequate supply of books relevant to the location.
The windows in the suite look out onto the road between the day visitor's car park and the village, beyond there is a field where you may see sheep and plentiful birds. The Guesthouse itself is only a couple of minutes' walking to the village and the amenities there.
Parking for your vehicle is available within the grounds of the guesthouse.
Danny is an attentive host with a wealth of information about the Island without being intrusive.

Excellent in every way. Spotlessly clean spacious rooms (we stayed in Reiver and Pilgrim) furnished to a high standard with comfortable beds, lovely bathroom and great shower. Reiver had small but well equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, toaster, sink and kettle), table and chairs and cosy settee. Off road parking for 1 car per room. Lovely attention to detail throughout and helpful but unobtrusive hosts available on site if needed. Short walk to village with a number of food options for breakfast through to evening meal and also the location of the main 'visitor attractions'. Magical to experience Holy Island when the tide was in and the day visitors gone, and also to be able to walk a bit further afield to deserted beaches on the north of the island without worrying about getting back in time to make the return crossing to the mainland. Highly recommend staying overnight on Holy Island (we stayed 2 nights) and staying at Belvue Guest House if you do.

The hosts should write a book on how to do small-scale hospitality. My wife and I have stayed in roughly 30-40 different places each year for the last three years on account of a research project and this one is the best thought-out, carefully arranged, tidiest and altogether most hassle-free we've yet encountered anywhere, from St Just in Cornwall to, well, this one, at the opposite end of the country. No criticisms at all.

Wonderful night's stay that gave opportunity for a wander round the village with no crowds.

Stayed in Abbott Studio. Every detail has been considered down to perfect placement of a recycling bin when leaving.

Definitely one for the "will use again" list.

Belvue Guesthouse is perfectly situated just off the causeway with parking for your vehicle if required. A few minutes walk to the village and main attractions. Very straightforward booking with excellent communication from Danny. Our suite, the Reiver studio, was an adequate size for a couple to move about comfortably, spotlessly clean throughout and had everything you would require. The kitchenette has all you need, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle along with coffee, tea, milk and sugar. The spacious ensuite has an excellent shower with plenty of hot water, towels and toiletries also provided. The underfloor heating was a welcome touch! We wish to visit Lindisfarne again for a longer stay and would hope that the Belvue Guesthouse has dates available when the time comes, as we would not hesitate to book the Reiver studio again.

This was our second visit to Belvue and it probably won’t be the last. Everything about the accommodation was just perfect and we really appreciated all the little details that put this guest house in a league of its own. The comprehensive instructions and check-in video ensured that everything went smoothly as well as giving many useful local tips.

Fantastic stay at this guest house.
little kitchen in the room had everything you needed including milk in the fridge and the great tasting ground coffee you served yourself in the Le creuset coffee cafetière.
The bath towels were large and fluffy and there were extra pillows etc if required.
The rooms were light and bright and were immaculate.
Easy parking on site and a 3 minuet walk into the village.
Will be back x

Kingsize bed, thoughtfully furnished warm and light room(Reivers), large bathroom with rainfall shower (and sensor lit toilet at night!), perfect location, systematic Covid safe practices evident to see when others checked out and accessible yet non intrusive hosts made this the perfect self catering accomodation for us to explore Lindisfarne. Once we booked in we did not move the car for our whole stay of 3 nights and will happily return here to explore more.
Stay here, eat out at the Ship Inn, eat in or buy delicious ready meals at the Post Office, enjoy the walks birds seals and ancient history and the tranquillity when the day visitors flee over the causeway before the North Sea high tide returns.
Thanks D & D!

Belvue Guesthouse is run by Dave and Danny. We stayed in the Reiver studio for two nights. Communication was excellent from the moment I made the booking. Danny sent a pre arrival information pack with tips on tide times, where to eat etc. They also have a lot of information about the island on their website.

You are able to park at the property from midday on day of arrival which is a real benefit in high season. Danny texted to say the room was ready early. Check in is contactless and you are left to come and go as you please. The room had everything you need, comfy bed, sofa to relax on, kitchenette to make drinks and breakfast, good shower, fluffy towels and plenty of hot water. Milk, tea and very nice coffee are provided on arrival. The bathroom has underfloor heating and the toilet has a night light so you don't need to turn the main light on at night.

We took their advice and pre-booked dinner for both nights in the Crown and Anchor which was excellent. There are some lovely walks and views on the island and it takes on a different atmosphere when the tide is in and the day trippers have left. Glad we decided to stay on the island not just pop over for a few hours. A very enjoyable and relaxing break.

Spotlessly clean and everything in our room was well thought out. We stayed in the Reiver Studio and it had everything we needed, including some interesting books about the island - and a WC bowl which was magically illuminated by night! The bathroom is large with underfloor heating and the shower comfortably roomy. All arrangements were adapted for the present pandemic and we felt very safe and secure. Everything was within an easy walk so if we wanted to eat in one of the pubs it was only a few minutes level walk. If we wanted to self cater the kitchen area in the studio was very well equipped. The hosts have prepared information and walks round the island which we found excellent. A classy place to stay!
