Stayed once again in the suite which is a complete home from home. Clean, comfortable, well equipped and spacious. Breakfast was included and leaves you full for the day. We ate 2 nights in the restaurant and the meals were excellent.

First impressions are how clean and well set out the restaurant and bar are. The menu was varied, however the potato skins were disappointing, the pate was nice. However the steaks were very well cooked and the sweets were lovely. Good place for a meal and the service was good.

We didn't stay, but ate here twice during our stay in Northumberland. Fish and chips delicious and generous portions of veg. Second time we ate we had the burgers, absolutely lovely - chargrilled and very, very tasty. Great chips too. Lovely pub, would highly recommend.

Lovely pub, food was great. Kids meals decent quality, all homemade, nothing frozen. Burgers are really good, homecut, skin on chips were delish! Would highly recommend. Ate in the bar, family friendly.

Booked the suite accommodation for a 1 night birthday stay. Lovely spacious room and everything we needed for a comfortable stay, with some nice extras. Staff friendly in this traditional pub and the dinner was very nicely cooked. Superb breakfast, from the lovely fresh fruit on our table to the well cooked breakfast from local ingredients. There also was a bathroom so we could have lovely hot baths. The room was cosy with an antique touch. We stayed with our boxer dog George and he was made very...

Excellent period inn with rooms above in a delightful Northumberland village within easy reach of the A1 and attractions such as Alnwick and Bamburgh castles. It was well worth paying the extra for the suite which was large, tastefully decorated and very comfortable with TV, DVD Player, coffee/tea and free wi fi. Bathroom was adequate with walk in shower and...

This place just oozes country charm as you walk in and feels traditional, smart, relaxing and warm in the few steps it takes to reach the bar. Friendly staff greeted and seated us, as we were there for dinner, but quite a few folk sat comfortably at the bar enjoying the conversation and their drinks. Dogs are allowed in the...
