Well what to say apart from lots of praise. Right from the start we were made to feel so welcome...nothing was too much trouble. We ate evening meal in the restaurant and the food was delicious, plentiful and catered well for children. Our little one (aged 2) really enjoyed his dinner and made light work of the breakfast too. Which...

We have just had our second visit to The Blue Bell Inn and it was just as good as our first visit 12 months ago. We were again made most welcome and enjoyed excellent service from both Keith the owner and all the other staff. Our room was spotless and warm and welcoming. The food amazing . A good choice...

A great and warm welcome from all of the staff. Spotless rooms and the breakfast is just one of the best we have had. In a wonderful part of Northumberland, this old coaching inn is, in our opinion, the best place to stay

Great meal, lovely food and good service....... Spoilt I am afraid too say by a table of young people where the ladies of the party seemed only capable of using the F word, which was unacceptable particularly as there was a family with two young children behind them. No need for this and very disappointing.

We called in here on our way home from Edinburgh airport at around 6:30pm on a Saturday. We'd call into a few other pubs the either couldn't fit us in or didn't look great but this one looked lovely and there was plenty on the menu for me (vegetarian) and the kids. They had initially said they couldn't fit us...

Dear Laura, thank you for the kind review after your visit on your way back from Edinburgh. It's good to hear you found the both the Vegetarian and the Children's options from our menu both varied and suitable for you and your family. I shall let our chefs know the food was delicious, and I'm equally pleased it was served...

A very friendly pub with good service, good food and very good real ales. Situated in a great location in north Northumberland just south of the Scottish Borders there is plenty to do. I've never stopped here but plenty people do.

The Blue Bell proved to be the ideal location for an impromptu weekend away. Friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff, good food and a lovely comfy and clean room. Perfect for a romantic night away from it all. And its location next to the Flodden battlefield was an added bonus.

We found the blue bell after seeing a notice on a board up at the monument for the battle at Flodden fields. The pub was easy to find and had ample parking as well. The landlord and staff were incredibly welcoming, even putting a table together for us in a side room, as they had a wake coming in shortly...

Stayed here for the weekend. From walking in to leaving we were made to feel so welcome by staff and locals alike. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower hot. The food was excellent - Stevie the chef was extremely accommodating. All in all a brilliant weekend break that couldn't be faulted.

Wow we called in on way home to Hexham tonight. It was fantastic food and the people that served us really knew what good service is and answered every question from a table of fussy guests on another table. A very welcome break to the road. Thank you for very lovely food, well prepared and yummy.
