Friendly and welcoming staff. This old fashioned type hotel had all that you could really require. It has been refurbished and we had a lovely upgraded en suite, although the shower was not very powerful but it did the job. I got my tea that I like to have in the room although a biscuit would have been nice to...

A very cold evening so we wanted somewhere close by for dinner. We were recommended the Queen's Head and decided to try it. Very friendly staff. Good food and service. Interesting combinations and varieties. We highly recommended it.

Stayed one night at the Queens Head . Staff were very friendly and the restaurant was very busy when we arrived. We were provided with two large bedrooms, both with nice decor, furnishings and very comfortable beds. We decided to eat in having looked at the menu which had a good variety of meals. The owner and waitress was very...

Stayed for 1 night to meet up with friends and celebrate a birthday. Had never been before. What a wonderful little place. As you'd expect from a Grade 2 listed building, there are stairs to the bedrooms (no lift) and the rooms are compact. But everything is in there. Tea and coffee making facilities, en suite shower and toilet, Even...

My friend and I had dinner here on a girlie trip. We were not disappointed, the menu had so many lovely choices and we were very happy with our food. The Lemon Sole was delicious and the cheeseboard was different to any I have had before with ginger cake and dates, it was just so good! Highly recommend!! It's dog...

Having read the reviews, I was looking forward to a good meal in pleasant surroundings. We were the first guests of the evening and only a few others arrived. Firstly, I was disappointed with the quality of the beer on tap. Certainly not very impressive. The food provided was distinctly average - Fish pie and Sticky Lemon chicken. Vegetables provided...

We had a fantastic experience at this establishment yesterday. The food (including presentation) was second to none. The added touches of iced water and home made bread on the table were welcomed greatly (this water was also discreetly filled without having to ask). The staff were very good and knew when to approach without being over bearing. The overall experience...
