Our fourth visit for our wedding anniversary - February 14th - which we have booked over a weekend as close to that date as possible. Keep returning because everything is just so - so excellent; the attention to detail, the food, the service, the ambience, and the bend over backwards to do anything for you attitude. That's why we keep...

I was really impressed driving up to the lit driveway to the country house hotel which stood so grand and beautiful; I couldn't wait to explore the grounds! I travelled in a group and we were warmly welcomed upon...

Right on the Scotland/ England border, in a beautiful coastal setting, Marshall Meadows is the perfect weekend retreat. Our room had a beautiful sea view and was extremely spacious and clean. The owner David was unbelievably friendly and attentive, waiting for us to arrive late on Friday evening and manning the bar late into the night. The ladies on reception...

Our group of five arrived at the hotel in time for canapes and bucks fizz slightly after the others and yet didn't feel odd. The staff were attentive and very friendly, explaining the order of events for the evening and taking our coats. We were then ushered into the function room with french doors into the garden which had been...

Marshall Meadows is an authentic Georgian, 3 star country house Hotel, standing in around 15 acres of peaceful grounds with sea views. It is uniquely situated just outside the historic town of Berwick-Upon-Tweed only a stone's throw away from the A1 crossing point of the Scottish Border. The hotel comprise 19 letting rooms, in addition to a main bar, residents' lounge, restaurant, large function area and music room, conservatory and terrace overlooking a large well manicured front lawn. Entrance to the grounds is via a tree-lined driveway flanking a wooded stream. The rear of the hotel overlooks a farmyard, paddock and walled garden. The location allows easy access to the main town, Northumberland Coastal attractions such as Holy Island and Alnwick Castle, National Parkland and the Scottish Border Regions. ... more   less
