My friend and I stayed in Belford and dined in the Blue bell hotel every day, the food was lovely, we had a beautiful Sunday lunch, the staff mostly Spanish are so friendly and attentive, the locals, especially Johnny the farmer was a delight to chat to, gave us all the history of the area and beaches we should walk,...

Just stopped for a meal, had the worst fish pie ever, topped with lumpy mash and filled with a dubious smell. The menu is just standard pub food, my partner had liver and bacon, this wa fine but the portion size was too much. The staff were very helpful and friendly so I didn't complain.

Excellent hotel. Clean, comfortable and quiet.Very friendly and helpful staff. Stayed for a 3 night winter break and can thoroughly recommend it. Ate in the bar which was very good, warm and with a nice atmosphere. Our dogs were made most welcome!

Having just spent two nights here, what can I say? But if ever there was a hotel that was in need of Miss Polizzi's help, it must be the Blue Bell Hotel. As the hotel could be a great place after a decent refurbishment and a good clean, and having stayed in room 9, where there was no hot water...

Myself, my wife and our dog stayed here whilst down visiting the lovely Holy Island. The hotel is in need of refurbishment. We were put in a room at the end of the corridor on the ground floor. The room was relatively small and in need of decorating. Just not a nice feel to the room at all. I'm guessing...

Spent 2 nights here, wished we hadn't booked, but were influenced by its good village location close to all the wonderful Northumberland sites. Bedroom barely acceptable, lumpy bed, clean linen and towels but ripped wallpaper, horribly stained carpet and overpainted stained surfaces. As an old property we expect and can accept, uneven floors, doors that don't fit, flaking windows, cracked...

Hotel in need of a refurbishment, rooms shabby and in need of good clean. No complaints about food and the staff friendly, even the gardens were shabby. Its a shame this beautiful looking coaching inn is allowed to get in this state,

A lot of the previous TripAdvisor comments made me wary about booking this hotel, but it had accommodation available, at a good price for B&B and in an area exactly where we wanted to be. Booking was easy - again contrary to previous comments. Parking was excellent - better than many other venues. Arrival was straight forward. Room was clean...

This has the potential to be a decent hotel but needs some money spending on it. Beds were very uncomfortable. Towel rack was only just on the wall. Bath mat had to be wedged under the shower curtain/wall to stop it swinging. Door to room need slamming to close. On the plus side the staff were great, particularly the Spanish...

Ate in here last week as we did not want to drive that night we are always wary about taking our dogs into places where people are eating but we were allowed in the bar area and everybody treated our dogs with friendliness, so much so that one of them has to go on a diet for the amount of...
