We booked this hotel as part of a Groupon deal specifically because it says on the website that the hotel is dog friendly. On the first night we were very impressed that our wee pooch could come to dinner, however at breakfast, the rules were different and this soured what would have been a 5/5 trip. We were told at...

Pleasant hotel with clean tidy room and communal spaces. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good well presented food. The things that didn't really work for me were the rather chaotic self serve breakfast system, with a rather limited continental choice and the lounge is a rather sterile and uninviting space. Overall a pleasant stay.

We returned to the Sunningdale hotel again after staying there last April. This time we were able to book a Superior room instead of a standard room. The room itself was nicely decorated with a nice sized bathroom which had a good shower. The view was almost identical to the one we had last time looking onto Lucker road, you...

Myself, my partner and our little dog visited this weekend. Rooms well appointed, food lovely and staff all brilliant. Fee for having the dog with us was excellent and not a rip off like in so many other places. Well positioned for the castle and beach. We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at the Sunningdale Hotel. The hotel is within walking distance to the castle and beach and a great base for exploring the area. The rooms were decorated to a high standard, they were cosy and had pleasant views and the shower was hot and powerful. The breakfasts at the Sunningdale were fantastic, you had a choice...

We have a special place in our hearts for Bamburgh having got married in the Castle. We normally stay in the Victoria, but this hotel is absolutely fantastic. We stayed in room 20 (ground floor with huge bay windowed area), the room itself was lovely, well furnished-to a high standard and was very comfortable. We have 2 dogs and there...

Stayed for 2 nights, hotel very clean and very well presented. Our room was on the first floor the 'Purple Room' which was ideal and beautifully clean. The room was warm and the bed very comfortable (have since brought a new bed because of stay as we did not realise how uncomfortable our bed was at home). Breakfast was excellent...

My wife, dog and I stayed for one night in room 20. The room was nice, as was the breakfast. Modern accommodation. Dog friendly. Located just 2 mins away from the centre of the village and a 10 minute walk to Bamburgh beach, which is great for dogs! Overall good with just minor niggles you get anywhere really. Very accommodating,...

Stayed here for 2 nights with my husband celebrating our wedding anniversary. We stayed in room 17 on the first floor. We were shown to our room and immediately noticed how cold it was. It was 0 degrees outside and icy, in the room the window was open and the only radiator switched off. The radiator eventually warmed up although...
