Bamburgh is my favourite place bar none. We stayed at the Victoria for one night and had a great time. The staff were friendly and very accommodating and the food for dinner and breakfast was great. My wife said they made the best chips she had ever tasted, high praise indeed. Our room was warm and comfortable and had everything...

My partner and I recently visited bamburgh for the second time last weekend. The first time we felt like we had not seen enough so this time my partner brought me back for a surprise babymoon. I couldn't asked for a nicer stay. After spending the day in the surrounding areas we arrived just after 3. Gentleman on the desk...

We didn't stay in the hotel, but went in one lunchtime for some food. The bar area is pleasant enough and the (one) beer well kept and very nice. Dogs are allowed in the bar, which certainly isn't the case with many establishments. Food was very nice, burger for me and gammon for my partner. Pretty simple, but all the...

Just returned from a winter weekend break at the Victoria, to celebrate my partner's birthday, as we did in November 2014. Our 2015 visit was even better. The location is both ideal and idyllic - Bamburgh is a beautiful village, with fantastic views, stunning scenery on the doorstep, the best beaches in the UK, and plenty to do, even when...

Stayed in a superior room (number 15) which was very spacious with a nice bay window to sit by and look out over the green. Felt more like a suite than a room, with a sofa as well as the chairs by the window. It genuinely felt like our dogs were welcome rather than just being tolerated, with access allowed...

Me and my husband came here for the Jason Isaacs entertainment and a meal. We had the most fantastic afternoon. Food was delicious, and the atmosphere was electric. Everyone was so friendly and even though we didn't know anyone, was invited up to dance and join in .Brilliant all round.

First visit to Northumberland and was not disappointed. So many hotels and villages to choose, but the online reviews and pictures for the Castle View room persuaded us to try the Victoria. It was a great choice and the room lived up to the pictures. Although the weather was very wet, the hotel, food, bar and staff were fantastic. Great...

Called in for coffee on a cold lunchtime. The staff were very pleasant and helpful; the coffee was good, though from a machine; the ambience was quite charming and it was a very pleasant experience. If you like "olde world" as opposed to modern then this is the place for you. All in all a very positive experience
