Came here early January for a night away, arrived just after 3pm. Owner was very polite and showed us round and to our room. It was all very clean and presented well. Tea and coffee facilities and hairdryer provided. The bed was very comfortable. Our bathroom was outside of our bedroom which was fine but would have preferred ensuite. Breakfast...

This was just short stay but we were very pleased with the whole experience. We were greeted by a very friendly host who made us feel very welcome. The room itself had a large bed and was very well equipped. It was modern, very clean and we had a great sleep. Toilets and bathrooms spotlessly clean. Breakfast was varied hot...

The B&B was very easy to find and was in walking distance of shops and Alnwick Gardens. People are not kidding when they say the entrance to the car park (opposite at a pub called The Plough) is narrow! We only have a golf and had to fold the wing mirrors in! We were the only people in the B&B...

We had to book accommodation at the last minute and found this place online. So glad we did! It's a lovely B & B near Barter Books and Alnwick Gardens. On arrival, our host, Leo, asked if we'd like to upgrade to a larger room, at no extra charge. We did, and what a comfortable, attractive room it was. Very...

Me and my partner stayed here in June! Gotta say it was absolutely fabulous. It was very much a last minute get away and we were just after somewhere cheap and local for the night but it exceeded all expectations. We were shown up to our room upon arrival and given several recommendations of where to go for the day....

Very conveniently positioned for Alnwick Castle and gardens and easy access for public transport. A small but comfortable and well equipped room, with a well stocked hospitality tray and good shower and toiletries in ensuite. Good breakfasts, with lots of choices, and friendly and helpful host.

Conveniently situated between the town centre and Alnwick Gardens, Tate House offers comfortable, well-equipped rooms and a really excellent breakfast. Free parking nearby behind the Plough Inn opposite. Although initially dismayed on arrival by the sight of an enormous screen in the dining room, this turned out to be tuned to BBC News Channel with the volume set at a...

Stayed here for two nights and couldn't be happier with the experience. Modern and finished to a high specification throughout, with everything we could possibly need. The room (#1) was very clean and comfortable and our breakfasts, cooked by our helpful host Leo (full English with one veggie option both mornings) were excellent. We particularly liked the fact there was...

Great location for exploring Alnwick. Room spotless and spacious (room 2), with everything we needed including toiletries, hairdryer and quality bedding. Parking just over road at The Plough Hotel which was no problem. Good choice for breakfast and would stay here again.

Can't think of anything critical to say. Tate House excellent, location good, town good, area good, all good. Alnwick Gardens is a must, as is the castle. The coast is fantastic and the countryside is beautiful. Don't know why we haven't been before.
