Enjoyed a 3 night stay on a Groupon deal including B and B. Not sure I would consider it in future if not on this kind of deal. Fairly standard room but clean and quiet, with a view over the courtyard garden. The hot breakfasts, served in the beautiful Olympic Suite, were freshly cooked to order and delicious. The cold...

Centrally located hotel in alnwick. The hotel was nice, albeit a bit dated. We were on Groupon deal, an d possibly because of this the food was average at best, with limited choice. Only big let down was breakfast which took about an hour to come. When we asked when it was going to come, we reordered toast and coffee. Finally...

We booked the room through a deal on Groupon for 2 nights, with a bottle of wine for the room and a 2 course dinner on 1 night. It was our anniversary so we thought a two day break in Alnwick would be something different for us,and it was not too far away from our home on Tyneside. I like...

Stayed in this wonderful old hotel which is situated in the center of Alnwick, the draw for us was a chance to see the magnificent dining room which is decorated from oak panels from the RMS Olympic, sister ship of the RMS Titanic, scrapped on the Clyde in 1935, alone well worth the visit. The staff were all excellent and...

If you want to see what it was like on the Titanic, then visiting The White Swan is a must. BUT don't just barge in. Please ask at the Hotel Reception, and, if the room is not in use, the staff will show you, and answer many questions. They are very helpful & knowledgeable...unfortunately the panelling is from The Olympic...

We were heading for a short break in Harrogate and wanted to stop for lunch en-route. Alnwick was an ideal location and by chance we got parked right outside the hotel. On looking around we could see various cafes however Hardies Bistro looked very inviting and we decided to go there as it was slightly damp. We were greeted by...

Stayed at the White Swan for two nights in early March and had a lovely time. The hotel has an old fashioned charm about it, the dining room from the Olympic liner this made it really made really different. we had a nice spacious room overlooking the main road, but is quiet. The bathroom was quirky with a 'squeezed in...

We stayed for a New Year package and had a wonderful time. For the money we spent we didn't have high expectations but in fact we were blown away with the whole weekend. From the amazing Olympic dining room to the superb meals we had an outstanding stay and have already booked to go back for a long Easter break!

Set in the heart of the historic market town of Alnwick and only a stone's throw from Alnwick Castle and Gardens, The White Swan is a charming 300 year old coaching inn that blends its unique heritage with superb accommodation. For generations one of the North of England's primary hotels, The White Swan is probably best known for its Olympic Dining Suite which features the magnificent panelling, mirrors and stained glass windows from the Titanic's sister ship. All 57 bedrooms are designed to an impeccable standard, and Hardy's Bistro, our contemporary, informal dining experience, is open all day for coffee, light lunches and an excellent bistro menu. The perfect stopover en route to Scotland, we're also your base for discovering the famous gardens at Alnwick Castle, and a tour of the very best of the North East with its unspoilt coastline, historic castles and Holy Island, Northumberland National Park and the exciting cities of Durham and Newcastle.
