Hostel was clean and well maintained. The facilities were great. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is a charming hostel in a converted old building near to the centre of town. The beds were comfy. The breakfasts were superb.

Great base to explore the area, convenient central location for Alnwick. Visited February and the hostel was open (unlike most) and warm and comfortable, friendly staff and a good breakfast. Recommended

I could not fault Alnwick youth hostel. It is a fairly recent conversion from a Victorian police station so everything about the interior is fairly modern. The manager is very friendly and helpful. I did self catering and the kitchen was well equipped but some instructions for the microwave would be most helpful.

The Alnwick Youth Hostel is in the former Police Station and Court House which is a lovely old stone building. The interior does not show much of that heritage, but it is nice to see these old buildings well-used. The hostel has a kitchen, dining room, games room and lounge. The latter two were overrun with very loud and boisterous...

We had a brilliant weekend at Alnwick Youth Hostel, which was very welcoming and comfortable it is set in a beautiful part of the country. There are plenty of walks, castles and craggy coastline to explore. Thanks for a lovely time!

Decent general facilities- dormitory, cosy lounge, self -catering kitchen etc.were fine. Just one facility not so fine - the nearby bike store - although it seemed secure enough it was a bit mucky inside due to "droppings"- from intruding birds! Staff were helpful and friendly and the hostel is in a great central location fpor exploring the town. d facilities,...

friendly and knowledgeable staff. Hard to find in the dark due to poor signage, yet a large building. I drove past twice and walked past it before noticing it!! Free car park virtually next door and in the town centre.

The hostel is situated close to the centre of this lovely historic, market town which is full of character. There is much of interest including Alnwick Castle & gardens, Hulne Park, the River Aln and Barter Books in the old train station. The hostel itself was very pleasant, clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and welcoming.

I gave this 4 stairs only because it was very quiet when I stayed, there were only about 6 people in the whole hostel and it was quite spooky. The staff are very welcoming, the place is really clean. The facilities are excellent and it's just a short, quite dark walk from the station. A good place to visit if...
