Oundle
Reviewed 26 November 2016

We thought this was excellent value for money and a lovely old hotel with lots of charm. Friendly staff and good location in Oundle , we stayed in winter and it was quiet but possibly rooms overlooking the courtyard might be noisy in the summer.

An historic and very comfortable hotel in the centre of Oundle. We had a stay of just one night, but wish it had been longer. Comfortable bedrooms, lovely restaurant and cosy bar – great when one doesn't have to drive! We had dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed it. Vegetarian choices limited, but plenty of options in the town if...

Another enjoyable stay at the Talbot. Excellent food particularly the breakfast. A very efficiently run hotel with highly motivated staff. Very impressed with the two members of the management team who vacated two armchairs for our convenience.

We haven't stayed or visited here for very many years, therefore we really appreciated the vast improvements that have been carried out since this establishment became part of the Coaching Inn Group. Our Room - the Barnwell, was large, nicely decorated and well appointed, warm and comfortable. The bed was big and comfortable too, although we thought the duvet was...

Everything delightful: location, atmosphere, staff members, restaurant and breakfast, as well as the rooms: modern, comfortable, cozy. Wonderful the Secret Garden where you can taste your breakfast surrounded by a really beautiful contest. Everything was right, except that they often reserve lobby and sofas for private events and then you cannot sit nowhere; and if you sit you are requested...

We have used this hotel several times in the past. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with tea/coffee and biscuits on the tray in the room. We usually stay in the adapted room which has a wet room. The room has plenty space for my wheelchair. It is located in a lovely area with nice walks to be had....
