Steeped in tradition and history, Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa in Northamptonshire is a beautiful country house hotel surrounded by formal gardens and parkland landscaped by Capability Brown in the 1760s. It was a home built for entertaining: Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and other monarchs all enjoyed its fine hospitality, and that tradition continues to this day. The hotel has been awarded 4 AA red stars and 2 Rosettes for its Cedar Restaurant, which offers a host of treats, not least of which is afternoon tea, a much loved tradition within our walls. Silverstone is only 25 minutes from Fawsley Hall and offers a variety of events throughout the year and a range of driving experience gifts. Racing Season: February – November

We recently had a weekend stay at Fawsley Hall to celebrate my parents' Diamond Wedding Anniversary. We were a group of 15 family members; four generations of us, ranging in age from 6 months to 86 years old. Jodie in the events team was wonderful getting everything set up for us and was so kind and diligent with her organisation.
From the moment we arrived, we were taken care of beautifully. The check-in staff were so helpful, storing our bags away safely until our rooms were ready, and then putting them into the correct rooms for when we got our keys. Such a simple thing, but many places do not operate so smoothly!
The rooms were all lovely and well-appointed, and everyone remarked on the comfort of the beds, excellent showers and other lovely amenities. All beautiful and homely.
The food and beverage staff were delightful. Rahul and Adam were great, and always helpful in moving tables and chairs around to accommodate our big party and quick to serve a variety of drinks and bites to eat.
The private dining room was perfect, and Adam was great in helping set it up with a few extra bits that I'd brought along (flowers, decorations, etc).
The spa was lovely (perfect spot for the baby's first ever swim!) and I was really touched that my parents were brought over by the hotel manager, to watch. Such care was taken by him and the other staff to look after them, and they loved that! We also enjoyed a visit to the extremely comfy cinema room to watch the rugby, so thank you for telling us about that facility.
The evening drinks/canapés and private dinner were perfect. The biggest shout-out must go to Harry who could not have been nicer or more helpful. My parents loved him and he was a real credit to Fawsley Hall. He was amazing and very patient taking about a thousand group photos of all of us on Sunday morning!
We really appreciated having the private room again for breakfast, thank you, and also loved snack bags for our journeys home. A lovely touch.
The biggest compliment of all is that every single one of us said we'd like to come back to Fawsley Hall. Having been very confident travellers in the past, my parents have become a little nervous about it in recent years. But I know they would love to come back for a longer stay soon as they felt so comfortable and well-looked after with you.
Congratulations and huge thanks to you and all the staff for making my parents' special occasion so memorable. We loved it!

We booked the Elizabeth Hampden room which was one of the best hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. Large windows in two directions provided lots of light and great views of the garden and surrounding countryside. A large fourposter bed(very comfortable)painted in gold added to the glamour; the room and the bathroom were incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated.
We were greeted warmly on arrival and all the staff were friendly and efficient. I have a medical condition which requires a special menu and the Head Chef met with us over afternoon tea so that a delicious and safe menu could be arranged for our dinner. The Cedar restaurant had plenty of atmosphere and we enjoyed a stress free and romantic dinner with a table overlooking the pretty garden.
The Great Hall is an impressive feature and generally all the rooms were grand but charming and cosy at the same time. We were also impressed by the location of Fawsley Hall, surrounded by lovely countryside and within easy access of splendid country houses and gardens to visit.
We would highly recommend this hotel for the warmth of staff, glamorous rooms, delicious dinner and will return as soon as we can . A perfect place for a special occasion or an excuse to spoil yourself as there is a recently renovated spa to indulge in.

We booked a suite for two nights which overlooked the church in the distance. Whilst comfortable and clean, the room is in need of updating. However, we liked that everything in the fridge was complementary and we enjoyed the champagne and cocktails. Excellent shower too. We spent time in the Spa which was lovely. I especially enjoyed the Himalayan Salt sauna. Pool was great too. We had the afternoon tea which was fantastic! The scones were cooked to perfection! Too much so we took the cakes back to the suite and popped them into the fridge. We especially enjoyed dinner and, in fact, all the meals we had there. The hotel has an exciting and talented chef in Joe Gould who has created a fantastic menu that delivers a 5* meal every time. They need to hold onto him! We also had breakfast there and Sunday lunch - all outstanding. We took our dog who was made to feel welcome and there are lovely walks around the property. In summary, the hotel is planning a major refurbishment to bring it up to 5* offer but it already has a 5* offer when it comes to the outstanding staff and the food.

We had an excellent stay at the Fawsley Hall Hotel and Spa and thoroughly enjoyed the room, lovely food, drink and the spa facilities. Given the weather and limited opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, we appreciated having the more spacious feature room with excellent views. Staying in a beautifully restored manor house with so much history made the relaxing break even more special.
It was a pleasant surprise to enjoy the delicious and creative culinary creations with special effort made to cater for all dietary requirements. The cleaning protocols made the hotel feel very covid secure and we felt very comfortable using the spa facilities and pool. The room was well cleaned with a comfortable mattress and air-conditioning \ heating for a decent night's sleep and good shower and bathroom. Lots of nice comfortable seating in the lounge areas to relax and pretty local walks in and around the hotel ground. Despite staff absence due to covid, the team made sure all guests were well looked after. Look forward to a return visit sometime soon.

We had a truly wonderful two nights at Fawsley Hall!
We stayed Saturday to Monday and had a fabulous experience from check in to checking out. From the off the staff in each area knew our names and greeted us warmly, nothing was too much trouble!
We began our stay with treatments in the spa, a facial and a full body massage, heavenly, and honestly the best way to begin a weekend without our children! The outdoor hot tub with a glass of champagne is a must, followed by the dangerously relaxing herbal heat room. Melanie in the spa is a true gem, anticipating our needs before we even knew we needed something.
The estate is surrounded with stunning walks, and whilst we brought our own wellies, the hotel provide wellies and brollies for those who forget. The gorgeous church is a must visit!
From breakfast, to Sunday roast with a devine Saturday evening dinner in between, the food was faultless. Well considered flavours and exciting combinations, all perfectly executed. We consider ourselves foodies and are often left disappointed, able to cook it better at home, our only disappointment here is that we can't take the chef and their team home with us.
I work in the wine industry, and enjoyed the varied and interesting wine list, however the prices were a little excessive. £56 for Graham Beck, which often retails for £12 was a touch vulgar, there is a reason why commercial labels exist so that the customer does not feel like they are being exploited. I do understand the need for a mark up in order to keep wonderful establishments such as this running but feel it can be done in a more discretionary fashion.
Harry in the bar and the lovely lady, who's name we didn't get, ensured our evenings were wonderful, providing us when asked with a full history of the hall and its paintings, alongside Irish coffees and the most wonderful clotted cream shortbread.
Our room was well appointed and spacious, and here is my only slight criticism, it was lacking in the character of the rest of the hotel. We stayed in a room up from the standard, I forget the official title. However in the room the tea and coffee were of higher standard and the toiletries were lovely, it just would have been nice for the rest of the hotel to be reflected in the decor.
On check out we were presented with a leaving bag, complete with refreshments for the journey home, and including, I think perhaps for us, only after demonstrating a love of the home made shortbread, a packet of the aforementioned biscuit treats.
All in all, a truly magical weekend, we will be back!

A beautiful place, fantastic historical vibe, grand features, spacious, clean with very friendly, helpful staff, great spa & lovely rooms. The food was great, service with a smile from every member of staff except 1 therapist (but that didn’t spoil it).
The 2 issues which spoilt it was (1) the temperature in the room, air con not very effective so maybe don’t visit in hot weather as was not possible to sleep comfortably. And (2) groups with kids should either be made to control their children or not be allowed in areas where guests have a right & expectation to peaceful rest (in the spa & in bedrooms). They should be allocated rooms/spaces away from older guests but should not be running, jumping & shouting in their rooms at 12 midnight.
If not for these it would have been “Excellent”. The staff, waiters, night manager, spa receptionist all work so hard and deserve a better review but FH need to address these issues.

We have just returned from a night away at Fawsley Hall and felt I needed to write to say what a delightful hotel Fawsley Hall is. From the moment we arrived we felt at ease with the surroundings, a Tudor house with a magnificent Great Hall with roaring log fire, just the place to settle in on a damp winters evening. Staff were enthusiastic, engaging and friendly, Freya checked us in and our bags were whisked away to our room. We had a standard classic bedroom with a very comfortable king sized bed and ensuite, ideal for our one night stay. Drinks in the evening were in the Great Hall followed by their tasting menu in the Cedar Restaurant, again staff and service was excellent. Breakfast the following morning consisted of a good cold buffet selection plus an additional choice of freshly cooked breakfast dishes. Food was tasty and well presented and served. They also have a very swish spa which we visited but did not use, must remember to pack our swimmers next time since residents are free to use the facilities. All in all a great stay.

I attended this location with my son & his Grandparents who were visiting from the USA for the 1st time to have Afternoon Tea.
We are served by an incredibly friendly, efficient & knowledgeable Waiter, notably Aby Mathew, who as it turns out, is the Restaurant & Bars Manager
Aby, was so kind to my family & he went out of his way to explain the different types of food & drink on offer, coupled with some very good recommendations too. His service was simply amazing!
Suffice to say, my family had an absolutely outstanding experience which was made by all the team who provide an attentive & very professional service to all of their guests
After our Tea, Laura kindly arrange for us to view the 1575 Suite which completely blew my family away with all the associated history attached to this room
So it is a huge call out & thank you to both Aby & Laura for giving me & my family such a wonderful time there at Fawsley Hall. It was simply outstanding
With my best wishes,
Kevin H

Yesterday, I went with a group of friends to the spa at Fawsley. We were welcomed at reception by Jasmine, she provided us with a fluffy towel and an embroidered robe in a beautifully tied bundle. We were shown to the ladies changing area and had a guided tour of the facilities available to us. Within a very short time of being poolside we were treated to a delicious green smoothie and a hair treatment by Georgia, thank you, they were both lovely. We used all the facilities, the pool, sauna, steam room, fragrant and salt rooms and the outdoor jacuzzi where we also enjoyed a glass of bubbly. For my treatment I had Tammy, she gave me a full body salt scrub and back massage which was wonderful, my skin feels so very soft and I’m still so very relaxed from the massage… Thank you Mel in the spatasserie, we all had a thoroughly delicious meal. We all had an absolutely marvellous time, the whole experience was perfect, I would highly recommend.

My sister just surprised me with an overnight spa and dining stay at Fawsley, and our whole experience was amazing from start to finish. The grounds and surroundings of the hotel are so peaceful and beautiful that you feel relaxed from the instance you drive in there, and this only continues more when you’re inside! The staff too were all friendly, very helpful and attentive and lovely, Stephen on reception inparticular was so lovely and kind and just seems a total natural at his job, so please pass this on to him!
Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, it was hot obviously on a hot summers day while we stayed there but we opened a window and used the fan provided. Our beds were also made into twin beds without us even having to ask and we were both very grateful for this!
The food we ate at dinner and breakfast was delicious and plentiful too, and our afternoon tea in the spa section was yummy. Also really enjoyed the massages we had and the spa facilities, Millie was my massage therapist and even two days later my body feels better and looser! So thankyou too Millie!
Overall what more could you want from a hotel/spa day! Hopefully we will return again in the future. Thankyou again to everyone at Fawsley!

Sorry, not sure if this will help or not as can’t compare as I don’t know what the stable rooms were like as we stayed in the main hotel but can confirm the main hotel room we stayed in was lovely; spacious, super clean and gorgeous view out the front of the hotel.
Yes Fawsley Hall is dog friendly & there are quiet few bedrooms that accommodates dog with dog bed. Also it allows dog in the bar & conservatory areas.
Hope this helps.
Please call the hotel or reservation teams if any further assistance required.
Yes fawlsey has plenty options for appreciating a drink outside whilst taking in the stunning views!
We were very fortunate last summer to be able to take breakfast outside on the terrace which was fantastic!
There are more places to choose from in the Fawsley area.
