Just back from the Crick boat show and fancied a lovely pub grub type evening. Asked our hostess and she recommended the Windmill. Well, food gorgeous, beer wonderful and service French...actually that's the waiter but extremely good. The whole British country real ale, real food, real people but hush...don't tell everyone because Badby deserves to be kept secret. Charming and...

Took my mum out for a belated mothers day lunch. There was one lady running the whole place by herself (plus a chef). But she managed and we had a very tasty lunch. Delicious Steak and Ale pie and great scampi and chips. Only negative was that the pie wasn't very hot.. but it tasted amazing! Will go back again....

We visited this pub on the advice of The Clock Tower Guest House. When we arrived we saw that the main restaurant was full and the helpful barman advised us that it was a coach party but not to worry as they were just starting their main course. We were shown to a smaller room wher our order arrived with...

After a long wet drive from Somerset my family and I were pleased to arrive at The Windmill, it is such a nice welcoming place. where the staff are helpful and pleasant. This is the second time I have stayed and again I was very impressed. The bedrooms are nice and clean and tidy with everything you want tea /...

Very lovely hotel with a Victorian feel to it. But most of all the food there is to die for 10/10, staff are all super friendly and very attentive. Would definitely recommend this place for a quiet few days away. They have different types of room to suit everyone's needs

What a great place to stay. Soon as we arrived were shown to a lovely clean and welcoming room. The staff were very professional and nothing was to much trouble. We had dinner in the snug and I must say excellent food a credit to the chef. We would recommend the windmill to anyone. Well done

Gone downhill... This was our first reaction of the place also. This used to be one of our top eating places, not now! Two roast dinners on, beef & gammon. I opted for gammon not that I really wanted gammon, I don't eat beef and it was the only roast dinner alternative. My partner had beef. He was served 2...

Dee. I have not had the chance to speak to you personally I hope that I can and you will call me. I have spoken to my chef regards the two choices of roast - this is what she said "Yes the beef was fattier than usual, I didn't see any gristle. Yes there was only two roasts on but...

After a muddy exhausting trek with the dog through Badby Woods we just stopped off for a drink. The pub has several tables in the bar area where dogs are welcome but we sat outside (Dec 27th !) along with a few others. The beers available included draught Bass and Woodforde's Wherry. The Wheery was in excellent condition. We had...
