So disappointed with this pub as we had heard so much about it. We arrived Sunday afternoon after a 4 hrs drive only to be told we couldn't have a twin room despite having emailed the request previously. Everything was "no" from the rude grumpy manager who made it quite clear guests are not welcome for dinner Sunday nights. When...

The food at Blue Bell is amazing, every course highly recommend the fishcake starter. The decor is great all champagne bottles, the only thing that lets it down is the atmosphere. It is a fancy restaurant with upper class food but the staff don't smile or make an effort to talk to you, if they just were a little friendly...

I love this place .staff are attentive .malbec is perfect. The fillet and scallops cooked to perfection .pudding choices fantastic shame I was too full .it's a must for fine dining !! Reading a couple of reviews and being in the same trade myself it is an extremely tough job you can't please everyone. It can be relentless hard work!!...

We had to change our booking on 2 occasions due to family problems one being a life changing operation. Each time they were given at least 7 days notice if not more. We were given room 4. The bathroom door when opening hits the bed. The bathroom mirror appeared loose and moves the shower head had half the jets missing....

I attended a 40th birthday meal of a close friend with a party of 15. I had been warned in advance about the rudeness of the owner but my friend felt the quality of the food and venue trumped the odd behaviour of the owner/manager. How right they were!! The food was very good and good value for money. I...

We stopped on our way to Beck Hole, it was lovely, efficient , my Husband really loved his dinner, he had a pie, my stroganoff not so great, huge amount, but too much mustard in sauce so it was a little sweet/sickley.

Six of us visited the Blue Bell for a family Sunday Lunch a few weeks ago and not only was the food distinctly average but the customer service was utterly abysmal. After reading previous reviews it seems that this experience was not a one-off. Firstly, we walked in after having booked a table over the phone well in advance. We...

A family reunion saw us visit this venue on a Saturday evening. We were seated in a private room with a gorgeous circular table. The table setting on arrival was excellent and in itself set the standard for a fabulous evening. The food was to a high standard and the menu was nicely varied allowing all guests from 9 years...

We booked a very last minute stay away. We booked a "superior" room. Each of theses rooms has a champagne theme. I didn't read too much into the description until entering the room. There were dummy champagne bottles or packaging everywhere. On the window cill, above the mirror, on the dresser, on the floor, in the "private" lounge area. It...

As always, excellent food and attentive service. Never disappointed. Not the cheapest but certainly one of the best. An excellent choice of menus for both lunch and dinner with a lot of the ingredients sourced locally.
