If its peace and quiet your after this is not the place. Its situated on a triangle of roads which have traffic all through the night. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. The big let down was the service in the restaurant. We waited 30 mins for our starters about the same time for our main course...

Family of 4 stayed and enjoyed New Year celebrations. Delighted to be welcomed by Bartek. Service overall was outstanding. Good evening meal served with courtesy and professionalism. Breakfast lovely. Under the new management this venue will return to its former glory.

Have been many times over the years. Not always a huge fan. Boxing day lunch however was exceptional. Restored my faith in the place. Have been told it has new owners. Bravo to them. Highly recommended

This hotel is amazing and unique. Every bedroom is different. Our bathroom was magnificent complete with heated floor! Its proper Air Con in the bedroom, brilliant for the summer but we had difficulty in getting heat out of it especially as it was very cold outside and as the window frames were old and weren't very well insulated! The Jewel...

This place is tricky to find as you seem to be going right back down the A19 the way you came! However, it is a lovely modern hotel/restaurant perfectly blended with the old such as real log fires. It had a very homely feel - staff went out of their way to make you feel like they knew you personally...

Our family of 7 ate here, the staff were excellent in dealing with all of us. Two problems arose however, one of the starters was Queen Scallops and these were extemely over cooked - appeared to have been cooked and then kept warm under a hot lamp, which baked them, yukk. They did handle it quite well, offering a replacement...

We went for Sunday lunch today and were disappointed. We have enjoyed the Tontine over many years and in that time there have been ups and downs. The transition from McCoy was unexpectedly quite successful and the money spent on the upstairs bar was great and earlier in the year we had a very good meal soon after Provenance inns...

Held a family dinner here to celebrate a birthday - the restaurant were extremely accommodating in the booking and made sure the evening went without a hitch. We had a private room in the conservatory which had a great ambience and seated a party of 16 easily. Food was excellent - and the restaurant management did everything to ensure everyone...
