A serene Elizabethan period Manor House set in the gorgeous country side a short walk from Robin's Hood Bay. Although small, our room was very comfortable, and the mattress was so soft it may me think of the story of the "Princes and the Pea". The breakfast was very tasty and served in a sunny dining room. We were made...

Beautiful building and gardens, great location, friendly staff. The place was so cold, even with the electric heaters on, that I was tempted to go out looking for a woolly jumper shop. There was no coffee in the room, and yes, we did ask for more which didn't come. There was an empty tissue box, a tiny drop of shower...

I stayed here for a wedding with my family and I can not recommend it enough. The building, gardens, and staff are all great. And the showers are the best I've had in this country -- it's like when the Dam Busters breached the Möhne dam and sploosh! Wipe out! Book room one if you're going. It has the ensuite...

My boyfriend and I had such a lovely stay here. The owner was very kind and spent time with us helping with directions and suggestions for dinner and walks. The breakfast was scrummy and perfectly hot. The building itself is very interesting and unusual to walk around and it has lovely gardens. It's extremely peaceful and perfect to be so...

We headed up to Robin Hood's Bay for a family wedding and the two families stayed together at Thorpe Hall. A beautiful house surrounded by fantastic views and set in the picturesque village of Fylingthorpe. Our hosts were wonderful and the rooms full of character. Perfect position for spending time by the coast in a chilled out setting, great for...

We paid £90 per room and were allotted one shower to share among four people. That shower didn't have any warm water left for the last of us...two of us had "intermittent" warm water. I appreciate that this place is ancient and modern plumbing is a challenge, but you cannot offer rooms without basic services, like hot showers, especially not at...

Thorpe hall is a delightful B and B. We had the Parson's room; large, panelled and nicely decorated. The bathroom was just along the corridor. if I stayed again, however, I'd opt - en-suite. Not because the bathroom wasn't nice, it was; but because my seven year old sometimes needs a trip to the loo in the middle of the...

My partner and myself have just returned from our first two night stay at Thorpe Hall. I have just read a few of the negative reviews on here regarding this amazing B&B. I appreciate that everyone is entitled to their opinion and this beautiful place is not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but like any accommodation that you...

We stayed at Thorpe Hall on our last night of walking the Coast to Coast walk. The property is not so much a B & B, but looks like a stately home! You felt like you were taken back in time. Angelique was the perfect host, made us feel really welcome. She let us take our boots off, whilst chatting,...
