Immaculately clean room, with everything you could need, including Yorkshire Tea. This impressive room was warm, and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, it is nice to be able to order separate items, as I like healthy items, my breakfast was spot on, poached egg, with grilled bacon grilled tomatoes etc. Service was very good, everything available, quality orange juice, quality bread,...

We stayed for two nights here over weekend. Arrived slightly early to drop off bags and given early check-in. Room was away from pub and therefore not too affected by noise from it. Very friendly in pub, and generally around town. It's difficult to imagine a small town with more pubs, or friendlier locals. Room was adequate for our needs...

We stayed in this wonderful old pub / bed & breakfast for 8 nights and we met the most welcoming people ever! The rooms are clean, tidy and have lovely beds. The landlord and landlady are such lovely warm people who make you feel at room right away. We spent quite a few afternoons and nights in the pub having...

The rooms at the Royal Oak were clean and comfortable although they were separated from the main building. The breakfast however was of poor quality and very little choice. Not many restaurants in knaresborough but we did find an excellent Indian restaurant and a bistro called carriages

We stayed here after visiting Harrogate. Location for getting to and from Harrogate is great, however we did struggle to find places to eat for a Saturday night. The room was away from the pub and across the car park which was good as it separated us from the pub which had karaoke night. The young lady behind the bar...

Knaresborough and the surrounding area is a great place for a weekend and the Old royal oak is an old traditional pub with decent facilities and comfortable rooms in the old stable block at the back. Our room (4) was pretty clean, decent bathroom with shower, tea/coffee and an electric room heater. The rooms are separated from the pub by...
