We stopped as a group of 4 work lads paid on by the firm, rooms clean and tidy and we really enjoyed the full english breakfast to start the working day,it was very quiet which suited us and the little bar had a lot to offer, had a steak on one of the evenings and that was cracking too. This place is... I cannot express my gratitude to peter and his staff enough , everything was not too much trouble, the food was superb, the location perfect, staff were helpful and friendly. I had underestimated my numbers , but they took it in their stride, and catered for my every need. Friends that also stayed over , we're delighted. With their rooms... More

We stayed here visiting family and found it pleasant. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we were able to arrive late evening and was still given a full tour. The breakfast was amazing and we enjoyed the garden view. Although the room was extremely cold when we arrived with long curtains blocking the heater... slight health and safety risk. However... If you like something a bit unique then this place could be for you! If you like the conformity of chain hotels then this may not be for you. As a French equivalent it is 'Logis'' not 'Campanile'. Just had a great two night break. Room was lovely and food was excellent. Met some very nice likeminded guests! Will definitely... More

We have stayed in this wonderful hotel for many years, as a couple with our grown up children and recently with our grandchildren. The owners have always bent over backwards to accommodate us in every way. The food in the restaurant is superb and you could not eat better cuisine even at some of the top rested restaurants in the... More

We stayed here over the Bank Holiday weekend, this was not by choice as we usually stay in Filey but being Bank Holiday everywhere was booked. 1st opinions, very outdated in every aspect. We was given room 9 which we immediately asked to change as there was no shower. We were given room 8 which did have a shower although... More

We stayed here for the August bank holiday weekend in coach house 5 which was virtually a brand new room and lovely accommodation. But.... The bathroom is between the lounge and bedroom so you walk though it to get from one to another. The sofa in the lounge is as hard as nails so we hardly used it. The bathroom... More

Stayed here for two nights last week (August 9th and 10th) in the coach house section. Lovely and clean with bags of character, we probably didn`t make the most of the hotel on our stay, as we had plenty planned whilst in the area. I was particularly taken with the fabulous grounds and the lovely well stocked bar, where I... More

We loved this place – a friendly, peaceful old vicarage full of character, comfort and freshly cooked food. The lobster risotto was one of the most enjoyable and flavoursome dishes I have ever tasted (and I’m not exaggerating!). This would make a perfect base for anyone pursuing local history or tracing their ancestry. Americans, for example, would surely feel inspired... More

We stayed here for a few nights during the first week of the school summer holidays with our five year old grandchild (who loves nearby Filey and delights in staying in hotels). It was a big hit with us all. Room five made a lovely family room with a very grand, comfortable four-poster for us and and a very comfortable... More
