Spent a week here in Lower Lodge in December. Vicki couldn't have been more helpful, welcoming and kind. Wow does she work hard. The little gate house lodge is delightful. It's rustic, quaint and beautifully appointed with lots of attention to detail. Lovely, thick long curtains clothe the windows and the lighting at night transforms the place into a pretty...

Perfect location, short walk to the village green which has 2 real ale, dog friendly pubs serving food (which we didn't sample) a fish & chip shop, Chinese take-away and a Co-Op. In the other direction (500m) is the railway station, so save the hassle of trying to park and take the train. The owner was really friendly and helpful,...

Lovely cottage and very friendly, helpful hosts. They couldn't have done enough for us to make our stay comfortable. Ideally situated for visiting local attractions. Definitely recommend this location for a short stay. Wifi would be a good addition and it is located very close to a min road, but those are only slight negatives, overall a good and pleasant...

My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night break at this unusual little letting. It is ideally located with local shop, takeaways and pub within easy walking distance. Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington are all within a 30 minute drive. The walk from Hunmanby Gap to Filey along the beach took less than an hour and was very...

The Follies are quite simply stunning and although 'cosy' in stature the character and high ceilings more than compensate! The lodge itself was immaculate and included all possible creature comforts (including complimentary wine & cakes :)). My husband, myself and dog had an incredible time here... with beautiful walks right on the doorstep with the Centenary Way and Yorkshire Wolds...

The website stated this cottage was suitable for 1 x Pet so we took our Labrador with us. Unfortunately this was not the case. The 'enclosed garden' is a fenced off piece of land and is not accessible from the cottage itself and the only form of access was the main front door which was adjacent to the main road....

Lisa and I came to Low Lodge after a very last minute decision to have a child-free weekend away. It was the only one available in the area at 24 hours notice, so we were very much 'winging it'! I have to say we were not disappointed. Looking like a ruin from the outside (and then later learning that it...
