We had an early dinner (1830) in the waterside restaurant. We had looked at a sample menu the weekend before, and booked a couple of days ahead. We writer about 15 minutes early and were shown to the bar for a pretty dinner drink and to view the menu. We ordered and were seated in the restaurant promptly. The service...

We stopped here for lunch on a stunning winter's morning and sat on their front patio admiring the stunning bay in warm March sunshine. It was stunning. With the sun warming our faces the bay looked magnificent. Service was professional and attentive without being intrusive but best of all was the potted crab which comes with a hunk of deliciuos...

We had a beautiful and leisurely Sunday lunch at Downcliffe House this weekend. There were 8 of us and the service was friendly and efficient without being intrusive. The menu offered a good range and everything we had was cooked well. The pork was especially delicious as was the Filey crab and the Creme de la creme dessert. The hotel...

In the middle of the sea front in this little English town, you wouldn't think twice about just walking past this place. But you'd be making a huge mistake by doing that. We went for lunch and I could not fault the food. The service was a little off-key but not enough to stop me saying go there - you'll...

This venue is the jewel in the crown of lovely Filey. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my stay. What a fabulous hotel and hosts! Beginning first with...

Only popped in for afternoon tea when in Filey. Never stayed here but would love to. Hotel is decorated beautifully & all the staff that served us both days were so friendly & helpful. Views of the sea are amazing as it's right on the seafront. Lovely afternoon tea too, recommend those scones!!!!

Having this as a gift for my 40th birthday my husband and I were made very welcome. The room was lovely with great sea views and prosecco whilst the bath slowly filled (as we were on the top floor). Restaurant was lovely, staff very friendly and accommodating. We had a great stay in our favourite town on the east coast...

It is many years since we have been to this venue for lunch. A glorious bright morning in February and following a brisk walk along the front we decided to stop for lunch. The bar and surrounding areas have been given a wonderful make over with muted colours to the walls and bright fabrics to the furniture. We chose from...
