Arrived at Grinkle park to a lovely welcome from the receptionist who showed us around the hotel and to our room. Very pleased with our room (kingfisher) very spacious and over looked the front formal lawns and pond. Lovely touches left in our room especially the handmade biscuits, a good selection of teas, coffee and bottled water etc. We opted...

This was our second stay, we would firmly recommend it. The staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. The rooms we stayed in, Azalea and Hydrangea, were spacious and the hotel is set in lovely grounds. We used it as a base to visit Whitby and North Yorkshire.

We stayed 2 nights this week in order to visit the railway - only a short drive away. Received a friendly welcome and found all staff during our visit also very friendly. So peaceful surroundings (when you live under the Heathrow flight path!), only the owls and wood pidgeons could be heard at night. Had a deluxe room, on offer,...

We booked this night away as a wedding anniversary treat. It was great value including strawberries and cream, a 3 course dinner, overnight stay in a deluxe room and a good breakfast selection. We've stayed here a number of times before. The traditional building and grounds are lovely, the food is good, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are...

This is the second time we have been here and yet again it did not disappoint. The venue is lovely, the food excellent and the staff could not have done more for us. It was a 40 year wedding anniversary and the staff really looked after us. In addition, the room we got was amazing and great value. Would definitely...

This was a gift for my birthday and visited on a rainy Monday afternoon. The grounds surrounding the hotel are beautiful. We were taken to the conservatory for our tea overlooking the gardens. Tea was served immediately with choice of sandwiches and were presented lovely, the scones with clotted cream were delicious and we couldn't eat the cakes but were...

This is a secluded spot to get away from it all. Set in glorious grounds on the North York moors it provides a rest for overworked suburban senses. The hotel is popular for weddings because of the picturesque lawn, lake and surrounding trees. The staff are friendly and the service good. The style is traditional and welcoming. Deals involving afternoon...
