I stayed one night at the Clockmaker's house and enjoyed it very much. I felt not only welcomed but pampered. I can wholeheartedly recommend it. Very nice location, just around the corner from the main street, where you find a good choice of restaurants.

I stayed one night in November and I wish I could stay longer but I was just for a day in Ashby. I booked my room in advance contacting Mike and everything went well. The house is just off the high street. The decoration the house and the rooms are very nice, matching the character of the house. The house...

Stayed in this period house a few nights ago and was very happy with the stay. As a former Guesthouse manager myself I can be quite demanding in my expectations. I would have no hesitation recommending this one.

We booked into Clockmakers House for one night to celebrate an anniversary. The welcome was excellent without being too intrusive and we were quickly shown to our room. Facilities were excellent with a spotless room, comfortable bed and powerful shower. Next morning the breakfast was outstanding with real attention to detail and very good quality hot and cold food. Overall...

I chose this bed & breakfast as the interiors were absolutely perfect, with exquisite textiles. What I was not expecting was a delicious breakfast. I needed to work the night I was staying and felt so at home working, watching Wimbledon with numerous cups of herbal tea. I highly recommend this lovely unique house and Mike and Sally for a...

Clean, quiet, comfortable room, although not super large. Decent sized bathroom, with shower and tub. Right in town with easy walking to restaurants and Ashby de la Zouch castle. Onsite parking in the owner's driveway - they allow your car to be in the driveway and park their's elsewhere if insufficient room. Great breakfast. Very hospitable hosts. We stayed in...

My partner and I were slightly late arrivals after a long drive, but received a warm welcome. The bedroom was of a good size, and well decorated. The bed, and bed linen were excellent. The en-suite bathroom was really spacious and well appointed. Perhaps the nicest bathroom we have stayed in in our recent travels. A small gripe, but it...

Stopped during a short walking break. Perfect location for the town centre and castle. We had the room at the top which was simply furnished with quite a small bathroom and no separate shower. Made up for by an excellent breakfast / living room and friendly hosts. And a wonderful breakfast! Recommended. Ps absolutely ridiculous to give one star because...

“The yellow room is lovely and at the top of the house. The stairs are quite steep but no problem if you don't have difficulty walking.”

“Fitness centre and public pool are within walking distance (minutes). Lots of places to eat on the Main Street. The blue room is at the top of the house with extra single beds for families and a shower; the yellow room (also at the top of the house) has a shower attachment over the bath and single beds; the green room has a bath and over bath shower. All rooms are well-equipped, comfortable, and spotless.”

“You will have to climb the stairs - don't think there was a groundfloor room. Higher room at a lovely view of the church - see photo below.”
