We stay one night at Kilhey Court, The hotel and room was lovely and peaceful. But the service in the restaurant is terrible, We booked a table for 7pm and we were the first in the restaurant but had to wait 40 mins for our starters, then another 20 mins for main courses but our side orders did arrive until...

Room/bathroom was a little dated but clean, staff very welcoming and food good. Drinks on the pricey side but to be expected in a hotel. Lovely grounds would definitely stay again very good value for money.

I travel quite a lot and was expecting more. The reception area is nice but as far as the rooms are concerned the hotel is grotty and dirty--at least mine was. Service was non existent in the dining room, and the one person who we did see flying past was often absent for ages. Food isn't good, dirty rooms and...

This was the third visit that my wife and I paid to Kihley Court. Every time we need to stay nearby, this is definitely our first choice hotel. It might not be the cheapest, but you get first-class service, food to die for and use of great spa facilities (although the ceiling in the pool area could do with some...

I had read the reviews and thought that this would be a nice spot for an overnight stay, checking in after a fairly long driving day. And don't get me wrong, the hotel does have a lot going for it. The grounds appear to be lovely, from what I could see of them, and the room I had was perfectly...

Just returned from a delightful little stay where we enjoyed a sunday night dinner, bed and breakfast package. The grounds are lovely and check in was seamless. It is a bit of a maze to find your room but that didn't concern us at all. All our queries once in the room were addressed speedily ( wifi/ ice/ heating) Room...

We booked a spa break with Treatwell website for The Macdonald Kilhey Court and it was brilliant. We booked our treatments in the spa and they were all very good after we spent time relaxing in the Jacuzzi pool and steam rooms. Its a small area but lovely and not too busy for a Saturday morning. The staff in the...

Recently stayed at the MacDonald Kilhey Court Hotel in Wigan and must say it was an awful experience. While the staff were largely quite courteous, we were continually kept waiting for service. Afternoon tea took nearly 45 minutes to arrive and dinner took over two hours to serve two courses in what was a near deserted dining room. Having given...
