We spent the weekend at this lovely cottage when in the area for a family wedding. It is clean and cosy, with a well equipped kitchen and generous welcome pack. Each room is ensuite which is great for family with adult children! The village of Waddington is lovely with 3 excellent pubs. It's also on the edge of glorious countryside.

My 4 great Grandparents lived around Waddington. I wanted place to sleep in Waddington which is feel like a "return to home". We stayed in the Blackfold Cottage for two nights because that town is a tiny town. So Beautiful! Patricia was a lovely lady and honest who owned a B&B. A wonderful english breakfast, she cooked! The B&B had...

We stayed at the 3-bed Backfold Cottage for one night. On entering the cottage, you cannot fail to be impressed by the care and attention that Trish has put into this quaint residence. My husband and I had the larger double room and our daughter took the compact double. Granted, the rooms are a little bijou, as the space is...

Backfold cottage is the perfect little place to stay when visiting the Waddington area. We were in the area for a wedding and Trish's welcome couldn't have been warmer on a damp cold day. Tea and biscuits on arrival and nothing is too much trouble (Trish even helped while I finished off the wedding cakes!). Our room was small but...

I stayed two nights in the small double room as a single female, travelling alone, and it was just perfect. Waddington is picture-postcard village with an ancient church, three pubs, a post-office and café. There are great walks and mountain-biking nearby or, if you prefer cycling or touring by car, there is a maze of delightful country lanes to explore....

We stayed here for a weekend with another couple. The cottage is very picturesque and beautifully furnished. The owner made us feel very welcome. There are only three rooms of which we had the largest. It was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The other rooms were a lot smaller but this is made clear on the cottage's website. The location...

Whilst I do take you point about the security of our establishment, I feel I ought to point out that in all my time running Backfold,I have NEVER found the premises to be left unlocked. I can hardly imagine any guest going out and leaving their own possessions out and the door open ! Thank you for your comment and...

We stayed in the smallest of the three rooms, but it was perfect for our short stay and had lots of character. We were lucky enough to be told that we were the only ones staying on our first night and to just make ourselves at home in the cottage on the sofa in front of the fire. There are...

Superb in every way. We have just returned from a relaxing few days at Backfold Cottage. Excellent location, accommodation, and breakfast all topped off with the nicest and friendliest owner we've met. Waddington is a beautiful village and there are many lovely places near bye ,try the afternoon tea at Houghton Clough ! Thank you Trish, we will be back.
