Astley banks was excellent. We booked as I was judging at the royal Lancashire show. .They kindly inform us of a wedding but will put us in a quiet room and private dining... The room was clean and fresh .. I need a second pillow but I couldn't get into the bag which they were in by which time I... More

Our youngest son's wedding was held in this beautiful building. The whole day was wonderful. A beautiful setting, fantastic staff and service and wonderful food. Soup followed by chicken casserole and chocolate brownie and ice cream to eat. Tasty. Good portions. Children catered for and vegan and vegetarian options available. Some people stayed over, accommodation excellent. Wedding breakfast next morning... More

We stayed for 2 nights at this lovely Manor House type hotel. The room was large and clean, had garden views and there was tea and coffee in the room. The food for evening meal was first class and we would recommend dining here. The staff were excellent in the main - we did have a slight glitch on morning... More

We held our daughter's wedding here last weekend and staff ensured that the reception was perfect from beginning to end. Following a church wedding we arrived by vintage bus to the immaculate grounds which are wonderful for photographs and for guests to wander around. We were greeted by Jason with a lovely welcome and a tray of Buck's Fizz. We... More

We stayed just for 1 night. There was a very well behaved wedding party on the night we stayed. We were dined in a small separate room but left the door open. We listened to great music and the cake cutting. It was like being part of the wedding - but not. The atmosphere was great, service very good and... More

This place was a fantastic find. On a complicated trip to the North we were stuck as the Lakes and North Yorkshire were full, so after a night in Lancaster we looked for somewhere on the way to the Peak District. We weren't expecting much but this place is fabulous. Great gardens and a lovely hotel. Comfortable room and a... More

Very nice clean hotel, just the job when visiting local friends. Popular for weddings with a nicely kept garden out front, plenty of parking at the back. Staff were friendly and efficient. Cosy bar area. Nice freshly cooked breakfast. Would stay here again.

This hotel is one of the best I have ever had the pleasure in staying at, the wedding was absolutely amazing and well managed by the hotel staff, the food fantastic and catered for everyone. The room was very stylish and contemporary, massive bed with beautiful fresh smelling linen, ensuite also outstanding, will definitely stay again.set in gorgeous gardens.

Stayed here on my wedding night in an executive room & was rather disappointed, the mattress was very uncomfortable as was the one lumpy pillow, bathroom had no spa bath. Our room was situated above the entrance to the hotel and was extremely noisy as guests were still out front at 3am. Wasn't too bothered about that, the main thing... More
