The sun shone, the lambs and daffodils were filling the fields. An early Mother's Day present from my favorite daughter and the choice of venue was mine. I've been promising myself a trip to the Parkers and it felt the perfect day for a trip to Newton in Bowland. Awards are piling in, and I wanted to see for myself....

Good food and good rooms go hand in hand nowadays. Not here. It's nice to have a shower after a walk. We tried. Once the initial pressure had run off, normal flow was just a dribble and not hot either. It rained overnight and, sat on the loo, it dripped on us from above. Condensation, he said. Without a shower?...

Lovely, cosy country pub. Excellent fresh local food and friendly service. Really stunning views, looking forward to returning in the summer when we can hopefully sit outside! Lots of picnic tables and space for children to run around.

This review is posted with the backdrop of this place being a family favourite for over 65 years, its such a shame that all our lovely memories of that time have been ruined by this, most recent... Positives: 1. Ben (front of house) is an absolute star – fantastic customer service, tried his absolute best. 2. The Venison starter was...

Not a bad place, service was good with pleasant staff. Food was the norm for a gastro pub with the meat being very good. Portions were smaller than expected and prices slightly higher than normal. Not sure why the pub is so highly rated to be honest. Not a bad experience by any means just seemed to be lacking something.

We came here on route to Langho for lunch, we were greeted on arrival by very friendly staff. We had a lovely meal here with great ales and wines and were given really lovely info about the surrounding areas and what to expect as it was a first time visiting. i really would recommend both the food and location were...

It looks right, feels ok, the people are friendly and attentive and the menu is gratifyingly short. However our food was really not up to expectations, mine tasted fine but didn't look appetising, however my colleague found his steak inedible and management took It away and off the bill. Ok it was Thursday and not busy but they should really...

We visited the Parkers Arms this weekend to celebrate our son's birthday. This "dining pub" must be the best we have ever eaten in-and outclassed many swanky restaurants. The service was friendly and efficient without being pushy, the menu was unique, varied and interesting, offering fresh local ingredients used in imaginative dishes-all of which were delicious and memorable. Never before...

We stayed the night whilst on a cycling tour and were warmly welcomed. Our bikes were locked away safely overnight and we were shown to our room, there was no problem turning up in cycling gear. The room had a beautiful view and a large window so it was bright and cheerful. It also had tea and filter coffee making...

Called in for a light lunch we hadn't book but they arranged tables to accommodate all 13 of us. We were given the menus from a very polite waiter who then asked if we could limit the choice to only 4 dishes as we were a large group. We only wanted sandwiches or something light but there was nothing on...
