A great b&b. Clean, tidy, smart. Great view and gardens. Lovely service, excellent breakfast. Decent pub just down the road too. It’s also very easy to get to from the motorway. Pricey but worth it. Will go again.
A beautiful & spotless B & B run by a really friendly couple Ann & Tony, our room was very spacious & had a lovely view, breakfast was excellent nothing was to much trouble! they even catered for gluten free! They both had lots of helpful knowledge of the surrounding area which was very helpful! We will return!!
Just spent two lovely nights at Lowfield and wish it could have been longer. The house is set in beautiful lush gardens and when you enter it's obvious the care and attention that Ann and Tony take in their fabulous home. The bedroom was extremely spacious with crisp white linen and super clean en suite. Breakfast was delicious and very quick and efficient. All in all a wonderful stay and it won't be our last. Thank you so much Ann & Tony for a lovely relaxing break.
The proprietor was friendly, helpful and a mine of useful information. The room was spacious. The location was easy to find, in the middle of the gorgeous countryside and very quiet. The breakfast could not be faulted - Full English, Continental - you name it and you could have it. There is also a first class restaurant 100yd up the road for an excellent evening meal. This is probably the best B&B we have stayed in and I can't recomment it highly enough
What a beautiful, cared for, welcoming place to stay. There’s so many lovely walks and drives out to do. We visited Lancaster, Brock Bottom, Beacon Fell, Guys Thatched Hamlet and Barton Grange - all within very easy access. Rooms were a generous size, IMMACULATELY clean, with comfy beds and a lovely, traditional but modern country feel. The gardens are glorious and looked after beautifully and we look forward to booking again. The breakfast was hearty and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. Highly recommend and the price was very good.
Fantastic find, Ann and Tony couldn't have been nicer hosts Beautiful room with lovely views. Set in Gorgeous grounds. Breakfast superb. Overall, probably the nicest place we.ve ever stayed in. We will definately stay again!
Perfectly located, we are currently in the Barn self catering. It’s just beautiful, with gorgeous views from every window. The Barn has everything you need and more. It is spotless, very very spacious and incredibly comfortable. All the mod cons are provided too, you really won’t want for anything. We could happily stay at least another week or two but sadly we have to leave.
Stayed at Lowfield with my daughter and grandson during a recent visit to Lancaster to see my family. Lowfield is brilliantly located, just of J33 of the M6, and is set in its own grounds in Bay Horse. A beautiful building dating back to 1901,our room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The beds were extremely comfy with a great choice of pillows. Bathroom was cavernous with a fantastic shower, and views to die for. Breakfast in the morning was truly fantastic, with so much choice that it was hard to make a choice! Anne and her hubby were brilliants hosts and made me realise that you you cant beat Northern hospitality. I cant recommened the Lowfield highly enough!
We stayed in the self catering barn and it was more than we could of asked for. The layout and space is great, the underfloor heating throughout the full downstairs is a fantastic bonus and the cleanliness of the entire barn and the grounds is a credit to the owners. No expense has been spared with the barn and everything in it and all the beds are extremely comfortable with good quality bedding. The barn has everything you could need whether staying for a weekend, a week or longer, there are plenty of games, books, DVD's, a washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave and fantastic oven, grill and hob. The views are outstanding and we never tired from just looking of out of the window, whether downstairs or in one of the two bedrooms upstairs. I don't think I have been in a bedroom with such stunning views as the main bedroom. The outdoor space at the back is a very well maintained lawn with a patio and outdoor table and chairs to use. Unfortuntely our long weekend was in the middle of a storm so we had not much more than strong winds and plenty of rain so we didn't get to use the outdoor space but we will certainly be booking to come again and hope to get to use this space. There is plenty of free parking available on the drive and Ann's instructions will get you straight to the property. The location couldn't get much more perfect, so close to the motorway and all local ammenities yet you feel a million miles away from day to day life. The owners live in the house next to the barn, which is also a B&B, but we didn't once feel like this was a issue, infact I think we only saw them twice, when we nipped to the car, so it's nice to know that they are there should we need anything but they certainly don't impose on your stay. I can't recommend Lowfield Barn enough and we look forward to returning soon.…
