Good hotel, recently renovated and a fabulous view over the Thames Estuary. Had a couple of nights whilst at a conference, called to arrange late check-in and they couldn't be more helpful. Had a big room (no14) and good breakfast so no complaints!

My son and his girlfriend love this hotel and when they come to visit us we always meet at the Marine for breakfast. There's a good choice and it's always freshly cooked and tasty. I have also lunched here a few times with friends and family and it's always been a pleasure.

Nice hotel, facing the sea. All the staff we met were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was really good, great food, reasonable prices, with plenty of seating in different areas. Furnishings were nice and if you like walking a good walk to Herne Bay in nice weather, or a shorter one to Whitstable town. On the down side there are...

Despite booking 2 family rooms and speaking with the hotel before arrival and exchanging several emails upon arrival we were informed our bookings were not on the system. We were attending a party in the function suite and had children with us which made the situation worse. They did find one room but it meant my daughter was left to...

This was our 2nd visit to The Marine Hotel Whitstable. The hotel is showing signs of needing some TLC, my husband booked the same quality room as previous visit, superior with sea view and balcony. Our room seemed cold, we had a heater in room which was separate from the aircon/heater however it was ineffective and just seemed to dry...

This hotel was nice enough for a single night's stay but I wouldn't want to stay much longer. It is located directly on the seafront so it has good sea views but is about a 15-20 minute walk to Whitstable town centre. The rooms were nicely decorated but had no central heating - just a weird ceiling blower and a...

I took my friend to lunch here as it is a great location, and I wanted to give her a nice treat having been here before on many occasions myself. The ambiance was very good as was the service and food. I had the Crab Linguine and my friend had the ginormous Fish and Chips, both dishes were scrummy accompanied...

Cold room, heating not very efficient. Jump on you to pay as soon as you arrive. Some of the staff need customer service training although a few quite helpful. No real structure. A few negatives but on the positive a comfy bed.
