I stayed here for 4 nights with my parents to attend a family event. The location and rooms were perfect for us. While the pub is quite busy and there is seating outside, we didn't find it noisy and there wasn't an issue with patrons staying outside after closing time. The room itself was lovely and there was plenty of...

Excluding the pub part in this comment, I must say that the room was comfortable with a need in a short term to be redone. Our room had view upon the back yard, quiet in winter, but probably noisy (tables) at the spring and summer times. Easy to park (not closed). No lift. My conclusion: for a night, it's a...

Had a breakfast get together of 20 people, had an absolutely fabulous breakfast, staff were very attentive, all breakfasts came out at the same time, nice and hot. Lovely setting with candles lit and a log fire. Overall a fabulous breakfast, and superb venue.

Six of us met for Sunday lunch and had a fantastic table. The staff are excellent and although busy were still as attentive as ever, very polite and adapted menu items to suit our party. Most had the roast which was very good indeed with the meats being cooked well and the variety of vegetable was good to. All in...

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here recently, with all the trimmings! Picked this place because my Dad doesn't like roast dinners, and they have a really good selection of meals other than roasts on a Sunday. The roasts were to die for - the beef is cooked to perfection (rare and juicy) and the seasonal vegetables were cooked just...

An excellent place to stay for visiting the area. We found the staff helpful and the food excellent value. Our room was modern and clean. A strange noise was heard from time to time like a pump running but fortunately this did not happen during the night.

Having been there recently for a busy Sunday lunch we thought it would be a great place for the annual family get together. We booked a table for 15 and from start to finish the service / food was excellent. The bar area was busy but had a lovely atmosphere and everyone was warm and friendly. The decor with Christmas...

We had a lovely stay at the Carpenters Arms. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. We liked the contemporary style. The whole place was beautifully clean. The staff were attentive and friendly. We did eat in the restaurant, although it was a bit rammed with Christmas parties, we had a lovely meal. The menu is very...

Overall an excellent Sunday lunch. Various menu items including the roast sampled by my party and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. Reasonable value - £120 for 4 ppl inc beer/wine, 2 ppl had 2 courses, 2 had 3 courses. Staff very friendly and bubbly, but a little lacking in finesse e.g reaching over people to collect plates instead of walking...
