I had such high expectations when I booked earlier in the day and also when we arrived that evening as its a lovely looking place, but oh boy was it all down hill after that. . It would take too long to detail everything but these are some bullet points and suffice to say the customer service was the worst I...

The hotel has a great atmosphere and history and they provide a plentiful breakfast, all the staff very pleasant. Also it is in a superb location ideal for visiting National trust properties i.e. Scotney castle gardens, Sissinghurst castle gardens and many other places within a 12 miles radius.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The George- it was a lovely, old building with lots of character. The staff were great, particularly a blonde lady who was incredibly helpful with her recommendations and would even check how we liked them the following day- we felt really listened to. The breakfast options were varied and really tasty. The service was...

Excellent location with off street parking. Lovely old building, but obviously no lift. Stairs OK though. Very helpful and friendly staff. Lively ambience in bar area. Nice restaurant with reasonable prices and good choice of food and wine.

Listed building with a few quirky features, great location, exceptional helpful friendly staff. Good breakfast, dinners just slightly missing top marks, but tasty. Small outside area for sitting which would have been better if it had been cleared daily of cigarette ends.

The George is my local pub, and I've never had a bad visit. Lovely, cosy atmosphere, great wine, good food. We recently hired the Cranbrook Bar for my dad's 60th and the service we received was impeccable - the staff were well organised and communicative, extremely accommodating, and worked their socks off on the night to make sure we had...

First time experience of The George but won't be rushing back mainly because they didn't rush to serve us! It took over 3 hours to get through a 3 course lunch for 3 people. The waitress had clearly forgotten us at the end as evidenced by her surprised look when she had her coat on ready to finish her shift....

Made booking for lunch about a week beforehand. On arrival no knowledge of my booking. Table prepared for us in haste. Attention from staff was minimal and sloppy. Food: first option had "run out". Second option arrived and was just embarrassing....literally a spoon full of lentils with three pomegranate seeds surrounded by five lettuce leaves.... tasteless. My advice..... seriously don't...

We stayed in a very large and comfortable room. We had an enjoyable evening, both dining and taking part in their quiz night, didn't win unfortunately! The breakfast in the morning was massive and really kept me going for the whole day. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
