£19.99 for moules and frites or steak and frites for two people with a bottle of wine thrown in. Or choose from the menu if preferred. Great value, nice ambiance, very welcoming pub. Children and dogs welcomed.

Stopped here for lunch before boarding the car ferry back to Portsmouth. We were early so the pub was quiet initially but soon began to get busier. A pleasant ambience and location. We both chose the pie of the day which was chicken, leek & mushroom. The meals were served quickly and piping hot. Neither of us could find evidence...

Excellent meal 3 courses for 2 and only £20.00 for both. We would have been happy to pay full price for this, all our courses were well presented and tasty. The venue has been refurbished well. Full marks to all the staff.

As a resident on the IOW I have to confess that this is not a place I have been in very often. My assumption was that it would be a "tourist type of pub" offering typical pub grub. How wrong was I? The staff (particularly) were brilliant and the food was excellent. A return visit is a certainty, especially given...

Only used the restaurant, not the hotel! We ate here from the special two for one menu, three courses for two people and the choices looked good. The main dishes were well cooked and tasty enough, but I thought the accompaniments lacked thought - this sounds pretty petty, really, but when your salad is a handful of leaves from a...

Had an excellent night at The Fishbourne Inn, plenty of car parking and close to the Ferry terminal. Room was lovely and spacious. Had evening meal in the hotel and the food was excellent and really good value for the generous size. Breakfast was equally as nice and sets you up nicely for the day ahead. Would definitely stay again.

This pub does bed and breakfast. Stayed in quiet season and had a very peaceful night (apparently not so on a foggy night when they blast the fog horn out into the Solent!). Very comfortable room: mattress, duvet and pillows clean and fresh, good sized shower, and we liked tea/coffee making facilities in room. Full English breakfast efficiently served. All...

We previously had rung this establishment to see if they did roasts during the afternoon on a sunday as we were leaving the island on the 6 o' clock ferry on our way home after spending the weekend seeing friends etc. When we arrived at 4.15pm, the roasts were finished but the afternoon menu seemed very suitable for what we...

Not been in here for years as the last time it as very disappointing BUT not so any more. The refurbishment has transformed this place and it looks fantastic inside - they have managed to retain character while at the same time bringing it up to date and giving an upmarket feel. We only had drinks but the ale was...

We went here for Christamad Eve. The atmosphere was good and the staff were all very friendly. The smoked duck stater was very tasty. However we were a little disappointed with the Camembert sharing plater. The cheese was very small. Not the normal size boxed Camembert you get in other restaurants. Especially when this was intended for two to share!!. We...
