I stayed here one night in July for a wedding. Lovely room at the front of the house. V comfy. When Peter, the owner, discovered I was running late for the service, he drove me to the church in his car. That was before his wife Linda ironed my shirt after noticing there were a fair few creases in it!...

We had a really great stay and couldn't have had more helpful and kind hosts. Peter & Linda are extremely friendly and very entertaining. The rooms are immaculately clean and the breakfast is wonderful. The location of the guest house is very handy to shops and restaurants. We will definitely return if on IOW again.

Room clean. Breakfast nice. Furnishing comfortable. Bathroom clean. Everything you would want in a guest house. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We felt right at home. Highly recommended. Try the Eggs Benedict. It was delightful.

A friendly welcome from Peter and a superb breakfast from his wife Linda the following morning, made this stopover a good start to our round-the-island walk. The bed was comfortable and everything worked. My only slight disappointment was that the shower in our bathroom lacked the pressure one would expect from a modern facility. However, this wasn't the experience of...

I was doing a course for a week on the Isle of Wight and I was fortunate to be accommodated by such lovely people at Anchorage Guesthouse. The room was everything I could've asked for - kettle, tea & biscuits, hot shower, soft mattress, and a lovely view of the sunrise every morning. It was the kind of place I...

Thank you Peters and Linda for your kind hospitality. I stayed here 3 nights for the music festival in June 2015 in the Garden Room. Very handy location 5 minutes or so from the fast (red jet) ferry jetty in Cowes and 5 minutes or so to the chain Bridge (free for foot passengers and cyclists). Very nice hot breakfast...

Booked as a part of a package by Wight Wanders we were delighted by this cosy BnB and its friendly and welcoming hosts. Breakfast lovely and the accommodation spotless and comfortable. We hope to return. This accommodation is LGBT friendly.

We stayed at various places on the Isle of Wight while we were walking the Coastal Path. The Anchorage in Cowes was probably one of our favourites. The very helpful and friendly owners were very personable. Our bedroom and also the public rooms were modern and spotlessly clean and tidy. I was puzzled by a couple of poor reviews elsewhere...

Five out of five. Clean room, comfy bed, hot powerful shower and awesome porridge! Peter, the owner, made me feel welcome and was a laugh to chat with when I was in the guesthouse. Would definitely recommend this place.

Loved every minute of our summer bank holiday getaway abode!! A mere 5 min walk away from the very quirky and lovely Cowes High Street and yet quiet and peaceful. We were greeted very warmly by Peter's wife (I think her name is Linda although a bit foggy - really sorry!) who showed us to our room which was bright...
