All the conventional elements are there...in spades. No great distance from the city of Hereford you find yourself cradled in a rural idyll: the main thatched "black and white" set in a large and immaculately maintained cottage garden. That sets the tone. The warmth of the welcome from Martin and Lin also sets the tone of kind thoughtfulness which is...

We came on a Saturday afternoon and stayed in The Red Room. The setting is idyllic and the room beautifully maintained and spotless. There's a 10 minute walk to the Crown and Anchor where you will find good beer, food and pleasant service. The location feels isolated but is only a couple of minutes from the main road. Highly recommended.

The two bedded "Blue Room" was immaculately clean with comfy beds and ensuite with shower, toilet, whb, heated towel rail and toiletries. Kettle in room for hot drinks, books and magazines to read, freeview tv, even a tray to put your shoes on to save the thick pile carpet from getting dirty. Breakfast was really nice with a great selection...

The setting for this B&B is like staying in a garden retreat. The good size Green Room with tiny but adequate en suite shower room was very clean and comfortable. Parking was easy and close to our garden room. We were greeted by a friendly dog who took us to see Lin who in tun made us feel very welcome....

just occasionally a true gem is found, well this is one of them, a stunning b and b, tucked away at the bottom of a lane . We were late checking in, a quick call, and all was sorted . we arrived to a lovely welcome and were shown to the Red Room, a large double in a small annexe...

...these folks would win one for sure. It was absolutely spotless, and so was the linen - proper white cotton sheets and fluffy white towels. Our room was attractive, cosy and warm - very important on a chilly drizzly November night! - with an excellent shower. There was a selection of biscuits & a little fridge provided with fresh milk,...

On a misty evening it was lovely to go back to the Stepps B&B and be given the room I'd had a few months go. The bright, clean, cosy room makes one feel all is well with the world and has everything one needs including a comfortable bed, an excellent shower and beverages when in need of a cup of...

A very welcoming B&B within easy reach of Hereford. Very well located for visiting other areas in Herefordshire such as Ledbury. Accomodation was spotlessly clean and well thought out with little extras such as lots of tea/coffee, free milk and mineral water. Hosts are lovely as was the breakfast - especially the homemade toast! Would not hesitate to stay there...

Quite literally step back in time....to a wonderfully pretty village, with stunning views. Stayed nights at the Steppes, would liked to have stayed longer. What a wonderful little gem of a place. Could not believe our luck. Hired two rooms and both, were equally as wonderful. Very, very clean, all fresh bed linen, nothing is too much and the breakfasts...
