Stayed here for just one night, but would definitely go back. The room was basic, which I would expect at the excellent rate I got, but spotlessly clean and comfortable. Really appreciate having a) tea making facilities b) proper mugs instead of the usual awful little hotel cups! What really does make the place special is the bistro in the...

This was my first time staying here and it was a pleasure, on arrival I was greeted by Rich and taken to my room ( I worked away most of this year and this is the only place to have done this ). Once I got myself sorted I went to the bar and had many drinks and a very...

We arrived at about midnight and was welcomed by the owners and they seemed very pleasant, however we were then shown to a room which was very basic, the quilt was extremely thin and the bed very small, not as small as the portocabin bathroom which was in a cupboard. I personally did not use this as it was so...

We are a small family run hotel that prides ourselves on great hospitality and great food, which your review seems to agree with! The fact you are also a small family business owner, it seems very vindictive and spiteful for both you and your husband (see Steve R’s review below) to leave damning reviews when your argument has no substance…....

We arrived late at night the owners were welcoming enough but we were told they would have soup and sandwiches on arrival which did not materialise but never mind .we were then shown to our room up several flights of stairs to be met with a tired poorly decorated room with a modular shower/ toilet that is probably the smallest...

This is a pleasant family run hotel situated down a very quiet lane. I had been warned that the main house was full and would be in the annex and as is was only for one night I didn't mind. The room was fairly small with a single bed and a sort of cabin for a shower room/ toilet, again...

Beautiful location but quite honestly I don't think the owners have any idea on running a restaurant. Have been on Sunday lunch and a very limited menu, 4 main courses only. Food was ok but only really pub grub. Opening times seem to be to suit the owners not the customers they now don't open weekday lunchtimes. In this position...

We are really disappointed with your review. I am not sure why you think that we don't know what we are doing! We are a successful hotel and bistro and the business has virtually doubled over the past year. A business decision was taken not to open during lunchtimes Monday to Thursday - this is an informed decision which is...

Thought to pop in on a Friday Lunchtime. Not open and a sign advising any Hotel guests that they cannot check-in until 16:00 - glad that was not me. It never seems to be open, we went elsewhere! Shame, because its a great setting.

On the Friday you came down, yes we were closed for lunch. I was collecting my husband from hospital following an operation the previous day. The sign did indeed advise that check in was not until 4pm - this is our usual check in time, so please do not feel pity for our guests. Our opening times are clearly displayed...

Unfortunately our booking was confused with a bigger party who took over the whole venue. The rooms had a few cobwebs and our bathroom was a wet room that wasn't very nice. But we slept well and had a very nice breakfast. You can see the personal touches the venue is trying to achieve.
