Chose to stay here for our wedding night as it was close to our venue in Berkhamsted. All initial communication was great. Parking was a bit of a nightmare. When we arrived we had concerns about a noisy party that seemed to be going on but our room was quiet, although it probably contributed to the parking issues. Hot water...

I was looking for a budget place to stay for 3 nights, on business. I travel a lot and am resigned to what you can expect from budget hotels, especially chains. But, they exceeded all my expectations. Service was excellent, room wasn't bang up to date but nicely decorated, really comfy, very clean and tidy, and fully equipped. Bathroom was...

Fabulous meal and service but really dissapointed that the Bill was incorrect. Although was rectified by staff this did put a real damper on the visit as charged for the equivalent of another meal.- which is not cheap . I would suggest you double check your bill as they clearly had no idea of how to add up.

This is an odd place. Collection of small lodges around a car park with a central building for bar and restaurant. Rooms quite small. Mine had had a lick of paint recently but coloured bathroom suite showed its age. It was all very clean though. Hotel is near railway line and busy road so noisy when windows are open. Breakfast...

We spend here just one night as we went for a driving excperience near by. The room is very nice and clean. Bed was a bit tiny for us but I absolutely loved the sheets,I did not want to get out from bed. Bathroom again very clean, with huge bathtub. We used the restaurant only next day for breakfast which...

Stayed just one night as a convenient M25 stop-off. Excellent conversion of executive suite rooms, but beware corners at head height. Getting luggage up stairs was a little difficult. Good bed and bathrooms. Staff were exceptionally welcoming, polite and enthusiastic. Evening menu good choice and well presented. Breakfast could not be faulted, if pretty standard

Exceptional in all aspects. From booking to checking out. What delightful people. Genuine warmth allied to super service. I was there for a birthday celebration and the food was spot on. The venue certainly celebratory. When you are sorry to leave and know if you could you would stay another day then you know it is a "come-back-to" place. Thank...

We stayed here overnight whilst visiting family. We had drinks in the bar in the evening. It was busy in the restaurant but we had already eaten. Room was lovely and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. Hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Have booked to stay again already!

Very pretty surroundings and a very jovial greeting from the gentleman behind the bar. Nice glass of rose slid down very nicely it was just a shame the table was so wobbly. Menu was varied and offered something different to the norm. Certainly worth a visit.

Yet another great Sunday lunch at Boxmoor lodge with excellent food and service, thanks to Mark and the team, we will see you soon. Why go to one of the "chain" restaurants when you could experience Boxmoor Lodge for similar (or less!!!) money.
