we have been coming here for years and its the most wonderful place. The rooms are so comfy and everything you need is there. Jane and Mike are so very hospitable and their breakfasts are delicious. We would never go anywhere else.

Stopped for lunch on way back from Bournemouth last Friday. Got a table for 2 and ate from the set lunch menu at £23 for 3 courses. Including drinks and coffee and tip (we got great service) bill was £81. Good value for money. A lot of time and effort had gone into preparation of the sauces and accompaniments and... More

Although we have stayed in the New Forest many times we had never seen this place before as it is quite hidden away. Our spacious room overlooked the lovely garden and we were very happy with it. The food was excellent and so well presented by our very friendly hosts. There is a hot tub in the garden and we... More

A gastro pub really but with a descent size bar. Food amazing but expect restaurant prices. I love the place but my campanion does not. Depends on what rocks your boat. Great ales and thatched out in the forest. Staff always efficient and friendly. Can't think of any decent other options nearby.

We only got to have one night at The Three Lions but we did enjoy ourselves. We specifically chose this B&B because of the fact that it is a restaurant B&B the set up of which would allow us to settle our two young children in bed and then still be able to enjoy a couple's romantic dinner knowing the... Just returned from a four night stay at the Three Lions whilst away on business. The room I stayed in was perfect for me. Warm, clean and homely. Great bed too, and a power shower that never failed to wake me from my morning slumber. Regarding the food. I honestly can't praise it enough. I tried a different dish each... More

Friendly welcome and good sized room with large comfortable bed. Lovely powerful shower before excellent continental breakfast with fresh fruit and basket of homemade bread. However the food the night before was wonderful. Ravioli with local ceps and truffles followed by turbot simply cooked but with a subtle seafood sauce and little vegetables. The red wine/cinnamon poached pear had such... More

Having been before and enjoyed it, it was the first choice to take a break to celebrate my 50th birthday. It is as it states a restaurant with rooms, so if, it is good food and wine you are after, this is the place to go. The rooms are spacious with a large ensuite, and a comfortable bed, a lovely... I have stayed in a number of places in the New Forest as I have to be here for work, so trying a "restaurant with rooms" was a bit of a punt. I find a lot of hotels in the area quite tired and unloved, therefore looked for something new. I was very pleased to have tried something new. When... More

Great stay at the family run 3 Lions, comfy beds, rustic feel, good power showers, breakfast was a nice change from the breakfast buffet norm. The food was outstanding, along with the very friendly service.
