A couple of my work colleagues from a local dealership took out for dinner last whilst staying at the Premier Inn near by. The food was of a high standard, you could fault it and the staff where so helpful and friendly, very good hosts.

We have visited Paultons park twice and decided to stop at Mortimer Arms for food on the first occasion and on the second we had a drink. It's a wonderful looking place unfortunately on both occasions it was made abundantly clear by staff that they did not like having children there. It's a shame as it's so close to a...

Welcome - warm and friendly. Staff - couldn't be more helpful Food - excellent. Cleanliness - perfect We stayed for 2 nights at The Mortimer Arms and were bowled over by the warmth of our reception and the standard of the food served. Dinner on our first night was excellent - braised lamb shoulder for one of us, and a...

Stayed for just one night and had a comfortable stay, although I'm used to a bigger bed as I'm a tall guy. But despite that the room was comfortable, clean and more than adequate. Nicely furnished and plenty of natural light and a window you can actually open! Dinner was excellent, but breakfast lacked choices, the full English was splendid...

Great hospitality, close to New Forest and Romsey Abbey. Although I was on a solo visit, I was impressed by how family friendly this hotel and restaurant was. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. It is situated near a Premier Inn which I'm sure offers its usual generic hospitality but, following my experience, I recommend choosing the Mortimer Arms...

Stopped here with friends for Sunday Lunch. We ordered three roast pork and one roast beef. The food was served in a reasonable time and was of a very high standard. The size of the portions were just right. Very friendly waiting staff who were very efficient. The local ice cream proved to be a hit. I ordered a rich...

Came for lunch, greeted by a lovely staff member. The decor is traditional yet modern. As a vegetarian I ordered the fajitas - declicious!! Impressive layout and hot rocks style veggies. Partner enjoyed the mega burger and the meat was apparently succulent. We will definitely be returning!

Interesting and varied menu. Offers lots of specials, it was PIG week when we were there and vegetarian week soon. Need to keep an eye on their web site.Good service. Ham hock pitta bread was very tasty and a perfect size for light lunch.

Well what a little gem. To allow our fellow parents.... once out of Peppa Pig, if your after some great food, stop here. 1 min out of the exit. I had the pulled pork Burger with fries. The burger was exceptional, a real treat, the fries were great and the heavily curried slaw was a great addition. My wife had...

We feel totally at home here. The food is always great. Apart from their fabulous roasts on a Sunday we try something different every time. The only downfall is one of the restaurant waiting staff, who is very intrusive and curt. If we had the choice would rather sit in the bar area rather than the restaurant and order the...
