This is not my first time in this hotel, stayed here couple of times already and will come back. I like small hotels with family atmosphere, this is how I feel here! All staff is really polite and friendly. Rooms are small, but you have all you need in room. Food very good. Also lovely small city to visit. I...

We have spent one night during Easter week-end at the White horse. Lovely hotel beautifully decorated with great services. All personal are very kind and very helpful. Rooms are very comfortable and meals very good. Highly recommended for a nice quiet week-end.

Beautifully restored ancient coaching inn in the middle of old Romsey. Each room is named after a famous horse and decorated in a luxurious way. Quite quirky with steps and sloping floors throughout the hotel. The bar and restaurant are modern but tastefully done. Service is friendly and efficient.

Booked a table for dinner on Saturday evening, having had lunch here on several previous occasions. Dinner totally different, bar full of drunks, tables in restaurant far too close together, meaning we had to listen to the rantings of the loud mouthed drunk 'holding court' at the next table. The food was very good, but evening spoiled by people who...

Went with two friends for lunch, the staff could not have been more friendlier, we were made very welcome, given plenty of time to order and also between courses. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to give details of dishes we were not familiar with. All courses were very well presented and beautifully cooked. We...

Got a Cream Tea as a present and we had a lovely couple of hours in this great establishment. Lovely sandwiches, warm scones, scrummy cakes, endless tea and coffee and a goody bag for what we could not eat all accompanied by excellent service. Perfect!

My family celebrated a special birthday luncheon here and we had the Chef's Dining Room and one of the lounges reserved for our occasion. The staff were fantastic: we were totally looked after and well served all afternoon. Nothing was too much trouble, the service was exceptional, food amazing and a fantastic time was had by all of our party....

High prices with slow service and mediocre quality do not balance out. I went for a meal with my wife and decided that I fancied the loin of venison. 40 minutes after placing the order, on a night when the restaurant wasn't overly-busy, the meal finally arrived. The meat was cooked to my liking, but the quantity of both it...
