Went for afternoon tea which was a gift from family.Every aspect of our visit lived up to the great reviews we had read and others had told us about.Best afternoon tea EVER!! and we have eaten in some of the top London hotels.Highly recommended and splendid gift idea for those people who are difficult to buy for and who love...

We visited the restaurant and found that the food was interesting. The location was pretty quiet and the service was reasonably prompt. The rib eye steak was good. My impression was favourable overall.

Very good friends chose this as the venue for their blessing - the room used for the blessing was transformed for our lunch and then into the party room with live band. An adventurous menu was well delivered and all staff were great. The hotel is a bit like a Tardis and has far more space than it presents from...

Booked at short notice. Bar and waitering staff very helpful and attentive. Considering we were the only group in the restaurant, they had an excellent menu available. I had scallops to start, which were served with black pudding - usually a bit predictable, but this chef really nailed this dish. The pork belly for my main was cooked just right...

All staff is really polite and friendly. Rooms are small, but you have all you need in room. Food very good. Also lovely small city to visit. I...

Beautifully restored ancient coaching inn in the middle of old Romsey. Each room is named after a famous horse and decorated in a luxurious way. Quite quirky with steps and sloping floors throughout the hotel. The bar and restaurant are modern but tastefully done. Service is friendly and efficient.

Booked a table for dinner on Saturday evening, having had lunch here on several previous occasions. Dinner totally different, bar full of drunks, tables in restaurant far too close together, meaning we had to listen to the rantings of the loud mouthed drunk 'holding court' at the next table. The food was very good, but evening spoiled by people who...

Went with two friends for lunch, the staff could not have been more friendlier, we were made very welcome, given plenty of time to order and also between courses. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to give details of dishes we were not familiar with. All courses were very well presented and beautifully cooked. We...
