Just one double room available when we booked - called a "snug". Absolutely delightful and had everything we could have asked for plus things that we specifically asked for such as feather pillows and sheets/blankets - not duvets. Very quiet - modern and cosy. Staff a real joy - could not have better looked after anywhere - friendly - kind... More

We went to the White Horse for a celebratory Sunday lunch and the whole experience was excellent. The dining area is a light and airy modern room at the back of the hotel and we had a pleasant table for two next to the windows. The menu is very varied - there are some nods to the traditional British Sunday... More

We went to the Brasserie for lunch, having booked on line (and got a reminder which was helpful). From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted and well looked after by all staff but Sean and Clare were our main servers. Sean was excellent, and knew his stuff! The Brasserie is spacious and enticing. We had booked an early... More

Fabulous food, exquisitely cooked and presented, great service. Our son booked this on the strength of the reviews and what a wonderful experience, what a great team! We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening and look forward to our next visit. What a gem....just try it!

A very disappointing and unsatisfactory experience whilst attending Afternoon Tea on Friday 4th November. I booked Afternoon Tea a couple of weeks ago for my mothers birthday, after looking at the reviews and photos online. Firstly, I want to make it clear that I am easy-going, and rarely complain or even write a review. We were booked for the 3:30... More

My wife and I received a gift of afternoon tea for two at The White Horse Hotel Romsey. This is not normally how I would spend my time, but what an experience it turned out to be. The setting we were in was like going back in time. The staff waiting on us were polite and attentive and explained what... More

Four of us met up this week for our first visit here and had a really enjoyable lunch in a lovely restaurant room. Food and drink were excellent and the service by young friendly attentive staff was top noch . Totally recommend . nb only drawback here is the lack of on site parking .

We had a wonderful afternoon here last weekend. One of the things I really loved and thought was quite different, was the vast array of teas that you could order. They have at least 30 teas I'd say and you can swap and change during the session. Great when your swapping from savoury to sweet! There was not one bit... More

Fabulous meal as always - service is excellent and a great dining atmosphere in a lovely restaurant, followed by drinks in the hotel bar after. We were celebrating a double birthday occasion and there was a nice little touch at the end of the evening, which I know a few places tend to do now with a slate board and... More

How many people can say they stayed in a 600 year old hotel? The beautifully refurbished Whitehorse still captures the history and quaintness of the past while offering a first class establishment including a charming bar/lounge, tearoom and the popular Brasserie Restaurant. The staff were professional and friendly and the centrally located hotel offers access to exploring delightful Romsey.
