This was our second visit to Hollybank House and it did not disappoint. This time we stayed in The Green Room, a lovely big room with views of the garden and Chichester Harbour in the background. We shall definitely be returning for a third visit at some point.

Once you pass the gate and arrive to the house you enter a fairy tale. Our kind host opened the door with a plain smile and a warm welcome an we felt part of the family. He accompanied us to our room asking our favorite hour for breakfast and our preferences for the menu. The room was warm and the...

What entrance, through two stone pillars along a drive bordered by trees and hedges for about one hundred and fifty yards to finally arrive at this magnificent country house, to be warmly welcomed by the owners. Our room was at the top of a flight of stone stairs to a room that was quaint and welcoming, with a bed that...

OK...So have you ever wondered what it would be like to stand at the door of a large Country House, wondering if your SatNav had taken you to the wrong address, and then be warmly welcomed to enter by the owner, in a modestly charming way, as though you were a friend of a friend who he had been waiting...

Hollybank house is a beautiful old manor house on the edge of the New Forrest. It is conveniently situated for exploring the area but isolated enough to give you peace and quiet if that's what you are after. I've stayed in the summer and the owners are happy for guests to wander around the large and well kept gardens. For...

Another reviewer commented that this place is like a national trust property and I feel that is so true. We used Hollybank House as a venue for a wake. The people who run/own it couldn't be more helpful. The property may be a little tired in places and as previous reviewers have stated the plumbing/electrics are older but what a...

As you drive up between the two pillars clearly denoting 'HollyBank House' the magic starts and one is instantly relaxed. I entered the house to be met by one of the owners grandchildren he was most polite and welcoming as was his grandfather, Viv who showed me to my room and made me feel most welcome. There is an air...

Beautiful peace and quiet, just like the old days. Huge country house with massive lounge with a grand piano and a real open fire fuelled by a basket filled with logs that you can light and enjoy all to yourself , terrific !! Bit worn and wonky plumbing to say the least with a shower and bath taps that can...

This place must have been a stately home in the past. Huge staircase leading to our equally huge room overlooking grandiose gardens with manicured lawns. We planned to be there mid-evening, but didn't in the end arrive until nearly midnight. They were kind enough to let us in, thank you. Next morning we had a continental breakfast at a communal...

What a wonderful weekend we had whilst staying at the Hollybank B&B. An utterly stunning property, set in the most beautiful grounds. This is unlike any other property we have ever stayed in. Anna and Viv were most welcoming. There was a choice of three delicious breakfasts. It was the ideal stay, to completely switch off. A truly idyllic stay,...
