It was on my companies authorised list and within 10 miles of Guildford. Well someone got that wrong it's actually 14 and will take you at least 45 minutes in the rush hour. The hotel is in need of some TLC and has seen better days. The best maintained area is the reception through to the bar, where everything is...

I can sum this place up in one word. Dreadful. How, on Gods earth, did it even get ONE AA star, let alone 3??!?! It really has to be up there in the top 5 of worst hotels in the U.K. Threadbare carpets, rude staff, a tennis court so over grown it resembled Jurassic park, cold swimming pool, broken steam...

I stayed here Sunday evening to Friday morning on business and thought I was in a military camp. Very basic hotel and thank god I didn't have to pay the bill, it was very over priced for the standard it is currently at which looks like it's been stuck in the early 80s. PS - My door number had one...

I have never seen a less appetising selection of sandwiches with barely a scraping of filling in them. Even the crisps were stale. I understand that this appalling food cost a great deal. The hotel should be ashamed of itself letting someone down at such a difficult time. Absolutely disgusting.

Hire of room and 'Funeral Tea' for 60 guests £1000.00! No additional niceties, eg. starched table cloths, flowers! Ghastly stale sandwiches, fillings mean to point of non-existent! No apology! This hotel needs the help of Alex Polizzi or better still razed to ground!

Plus side: friendly staff, nice big bed, free parking and good breakfast. Minus side: chaotic room signs, no A/C, no drinking water in room. Hotel a little tired, and needs some TLC. For the price, fine, but if you can stay at the Holiday Inn for about the same price, do so.

Stayed for 2 nights this week booked by my company. Got into the room with ancient decor, roasting hot with no aircon. Business desk( using the term loosely here ),with no chair, just a stool with no backrest and no electricity sockets to plug my laptop in ! Worst was to come though. Went to use the toilet. The seat...

What can I say other than check in and the bar staff what a complete mugging. Alledgedly 3 AA stars not a chance, bathroom no light, furniture broken or no handles, remote wrong TV. Just incredible what they believe customer service or a fair price means. If you have to stay in this area avoid really not up to standard
