Stayed 2 nights B&B to attend a family wedding at the nearby (walking distance) Berkeley Castle. Family room (Dble +2) was large and clean. Effective hot shower over bath. Breakfast was traditional and tasty, Mrs Burdett was very pleasant and helpful in accommodating a large party arriving at the same time. Would stay again and recommend.

Feedback for management: We arrived at 5.40pm (check in listed from 5) but no body was around. We knocked and rang the bell a few times and waited around 5 minutes (although it felt like longer). Then we were greeted with a "we're just opening up now" and I did feel like saying, if yo have guests book you ought...

Spent a delightful Easter weekend here. Large, spotless room and bathroom. New carpet smell. Wonderful staff. The food was delicious, both restaurant meals in the evening and breakfast in the morning. The Malt House Hotel was a very special find. Thank you.

My company booked three employees into the hotel to stay, while they attended a two day training course. We had two managers and other staff join them for an evening meal there, the food was excellent and the service and welcome. the next day all three staff that stayed there said what lovely clean comfortable rooms they were. In fact...

Stayed with my wife and two children (11 and 9) last weekend. Booked in at short notice after getting tickets for a rugby match in Cardiff and decided to stay over to break up the journey home. Wendy and her staff were very friendly, professional and accommodating. Car parking was easy and the family room we shared was very clean...

Stayed here for our son's wedding in the nearby castle, both splendid. Staff were charming and Wendy helped to organise a dinner for 17 which I wanted to host the night before the wedding. Spacious and quiet room. Delicious food, with limited wine choice but good range of beers.

Great room and ideal location for the wedding we attended. However, breakfast service was awful. Forced to sit with strangers which meant I could not relax and eat. Cold food, orange juice and coffee ran out and wasn't replaced. Stay ruined by the breakfast experience. Shame.

We stayed here as we attended a wedding at Berkeley Castle which is within walking distance and well worth a visit. Very friendly and helpful staff, rooms were quite basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. Also very quiet, unlike larger hotels where you hear doors slamming every two minutes. We enjoyed a couple of drinks at the bar...

Near the castle and Edward Jenner's home, this hotel is ideally placed. Slimbridge is close too. The room was one in the oldest part of the hotel. Consequently the room was large, comfortable and quiet. Food in the bar and restaurant was all home made and perfectly presented with care by the chef owner. They gave an amazing array of...
