Booking in earlier the room was clean and tidy. The hotel was quiet all facilities were available. The food was reasonable both in taste and price. It is clearly a local pub some guests had dogs. the only comment I would add is the young lad never washed her hands after handling the dog water bowl.

We arrived after hiking south bath on the cotswolds way, and as we booked online, we were not disappointed. The hotel is small, quite and set away from the main road. Breakfast was great and set you up for the day. All in all, a good night's stay!

A two-night stay while visiting Bath: we wanted to be out of the city with its exorbitant prices, and this was an ideal jumping-off point. Signs to the residents' car-park were... idiosyncratic, we ended up entering through a warren of rooms before someone emerged from a bar to escort us to Reception (which could have been better signposted). Check-in went...

Whilst this popular hotel has it's good points, it could be much improved by some desperately needed TLC to upgrade the interior, and rooms. That said, whilst somewhat dated, the rooms are comfortable, the food is good, and the current chef caters well for special diets, and the overall service was good. The hotel also is close to the highway,...

Came here for lunch with family. food was well cooked and we all enjoyed our meals. There was plenty to chose from. The surroundings were very pleasant. Service was good. Just enough attention to make sure we were OK and had every thing we wanted without being intrusive in any way. We were not hurried in any way and were...

Good points: The location was very handy for me attending an event nearby - so I missed the city traffic. And it's so easy to get to from the motorway. The location was the main reason I booked this hotel after reading mixed reviews. And it has a restaurant which is useful when you are travelling for business so you...

Shocking for the price. Poor, worn out decor, creaky floors and thin walls. Much better off in a premier inn or travel lodge. Stayed one night on business and all i ask is a comfortable nights sleep and hot water in the morning! unfortunately they couldn't manage the hot water bit. only stay here if its half price or free.

The regular menu was very good and extensive, the specials even better. We had a thoroughly enjoyable and un-hurried lunch in the covered garden area which is lovely. The service was attentive but not invasive. A nice place to stop for lunch. We did not experience the hotel or dinner.

The hotel is located in a good position not far from the M4, the bar and food were very good but I found the restaurant to be very dated with ripped chairs etc. The wifi signal in the rooms was so low it was unusable but the bed was comfortable.
