Arrived at 1600hrs and joined the 8 others waiting for an hour at reception for someone to book us in. Phoned the hotel no that we heard ringing in a room accompanied with someone snoring , banged on the room door , no response , phoned the travel lodge helpline, no use at all told us to call the police,...

Having stayed at this travelodge 16 years ago and remembering it as quite pleasant..I booked in..encouraged by the fact it had apparently had a makeover two years previously..I usually stay at Premier Inns but having stayed once at an inner city travelodge that had been refurbished..I assumed I would get the same standard which was minimal..but modern..clean and fresh..I couldnt...

We chose this hotel as a convenient and cost effective place to rest between attractions in Birmingham and Cardiff. It offered the basics well and provided a peaceful location. Our room had a double bed, 2 small chairs and the bench/worktop with the TV and tea/coffee making facilities; the usual Travelodge furniture. There was even a bottle opener on the...

Stayed here for a single night when attending a wedding reception close by. The hotel was clean and tidy but very, very basic...but I suppose you expect that from a budget chain. The room itself was surprisingly big but the lack of decor and even furniture made it look empty. The TV only had a few limited channels (we were...

Friendly staff, nicely tucked away so no road noise. Maybe a sign just to show were to turn before the roundabout. comfortable beds and clean rooms just very stuffy and warm like the main heating had been stuck on full as room radiator was off. Other then that it was just what we needed as a passing through to get...

I guess it's ok for one night but I couldn't believe that one actually has to pay £3 extra for Wifi and then it doesn't even work properly. Receptionist was nice and friendly but floor wasn't aired and stinky, bedding had holes and there were no face towels. Maybe I expect too much for the price but still disappointed.

Many thanks for your review. It’s great that you found the staff to be friendly during your stay with us. Unlike some of our competitors, we charge a small WiFi fee instead of adding this onto our room rates. This gives our customers the choice on whether they would like to pay extra for this service. Feedback such as yours...

We have previously stayed a couple of times in Premier Inns and I found Travel Lodge to be inferior to Premier Inns. Quite a long wait to find somebody to check us in, I believe only 1 person was on duty so they were probably checking in other guests. Rooms very basic,we paid £84 for 1 night and it was...

Enjoyed an overnight stop on way to Cornwall. Good value for 2 adults and a dog. First time however I have been asked by reception whether I smoke and if so could I lend them a cigarette! Made use of dog-friendly local garden centre for breakfast which was excellent.

Generally we like Travelodge because we get what we expect This was no exception. Easy to find, prompt and efficient Everything we expected Clean -but in some places needing a bit of refurbishment- the carpet in our room was badly parked
