This site is well worth a visit with loads of on site perks like the pool and massive playing field that most other sites would fill with tents to make more money. We stayed here for 5 day and used the pool every day my three year old son loved riding around the site on a hired balance bike, to...

Stayed here for a long weekend from the 5th to 8th August. Lovely clean park, not too big. The accommodation whilst a little tired through age was spotlessly clean and spacious. There is an airer to dry your swimming stuff but as a tip take pegs with you if you want to put the airer outside of the accommodation. The...

We had a wonderful week in the Forrest of Dean, Whitemead Forrest Park is an ideal location for visiting the Forrest. The park is set in Parkend, a small village, which has two good pubs and a couple of café's. The Park is so peaceful, we saw nuthatches, green woodpeckers and plenty of other wildlife. If you are travelling with...

One word that kept and keeps coming out of my mouth is WOW WOW WOW AND WOW, Whitemead is a little place of heaven only 50 minutes away from where I live, I could not believe this beautiful place could be so close. I am in awe of this place. Don't even compare to Centre Parcs as this is one...

We had a lovely 5 day stay here in a log cabin. The cabin was comfortable clean and very well equipped. The site is large with big green areas where activities for children take place during the day, but they are expensive. There is access to the forest from the site and evidence in the forest of wild boars. The...

Actually I've never been to centre parcs because every time I've looked at the web site I can't reconcile it as value for money, especially in the school holidays. I can also put together a package of activities that are just as good for a lot less money! As I say I haven't ever been but a member of our...

Camped for 3 nights with our 2 kids who are 5 and 3. Kids loved it as loads to do. They didn't enjoy the indoor pool as it was cold. Very kid safe and great for scooting and cycling. We tried the on site restaurant and were very disappointed as it took them 55 minutes to deliver our food which...

Dear guest, thank you for your positive comments regarding Whitemead, I was the show host/DJ on duty on the weekend in question and fully understand your comments regarding the type of music we played over the weekend. To explain why we played the 'cheesy' party music after the acts finished on both nights.

After the quality acts we had on both nights had finished their shows, I did start playing the 'middle of the road' songs such as Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and other popular songs to get people dancing and to provide a varied mixture of songs. No one was dancing and after about 30 minutes of playing these songs people were were just hand tapping to the music, On both evenings one of the guests requested some party songs including Macarena and Cha Cha Slide etc. As soon as I played the first one, around 20 people got up and danced to all of them. Looking back on this weekend we have 2 family groups that danced to all these songs but not the middle of the road songs, so to keep them entertained, I did play the party songs for them on both nights and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It is sometimes a balancing act to ensure we entertain all of our guests by playing a selection of music for everyone which we endeavour to do, having tried on both evenings to play the general songs with no one dancing, I did revert to the party music as requested by guests. I do always ask for music requests and would have been happy to play any requests for your favourite songs.

Having looked back at the digital playlist for the weekend which records the music we played, the song you mentioned above (Cha Cha Slide) in particular was played at 7.50 and again 10.50 approximately on each of the nights. We have a policy of playing songs a maximum of twice on each evening to avoid over playing of certain songs. We do record our playlists to comply with the Performing Rights Society. We also use the new large screen to give our guests an interactive experience and to dance along to with both dance routines and music video's for an enhanced visual experience.

We do strive to continually improve the entertainment for all of our guests and we do value your comments and will use these to further improve our service, many thanks. Paul (Polo) DJ/ show host.
