We spent a very enjoyable weekend in Gloucestershire and South East Wales with The Tudor Farmhouse as our base. Rooms are grouped in several categories. Ours was "a cockerel room" which was, I believe, the top level below a suite. The room was spacious, very pleasantly furnished and spotlessly clean. On the downside it was bordering on uncomfortably warm and...

Booked this hotel after reading TA reviews and so glad we did. Rang the hotel to book two nights stay - the lady that took the call was brilliant and recommended a package that included bed, breakfast and dinner for both days. The deal also included an afternoon tea to suit. The cost was less than the rack rate. Upon...

We booked a two night package to celebrate my husband's birthday and to be close to family who live in the area. Our room was excellent with a very comfortable bed and pillows. One small gripe was that the main blind was stuck down and if we had been there longer I would have remembered to mention it. The bathroom...

We spent a 2 night stay at this very friendly hotel. The food was excellent as was our Hen room. You could not ask more from the staff who were always very charming. The hotel has lovely grounds and to our delight they have a hen house in which they had rescued battery hens that were just growing back their...

location lovely, rooms stunning (especially bathroom), attention to detail second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Immaculately clean and comfortable, just wish we could have stayed loner

The Tudor farmhouse hotel was amazing. We could not fault any aspect of our stay. The room was beautiful, the goodies for our dog were very much appreciated by him! The service at reception was perfect, everyone was so helpful and friendly, could not ask for more. We took advantage of the lovely walking leaflets and found ourselves in the...

We were looking for a short midweek break and came across the Tudor Farmhouse hotel on the internet. We decided to phone and see if we could get a "deal" and the reception on the telephone was fast, helpful and very friendly,so we decided to book for two nights. We are very glad we did, as this small hotel is absolutely...

The Tudor Farmhouse Hotel was excellant. The food, service, accommodation and quality were all of a high standard. The staff were very friendly and accommodating especially Jenni and Sammy. All the little extras made a huge difference. Well done to them all.

We decided to overnight in the Forest of Dean on our way home from Devon. We can recommend the Forest of Dean but not the Tudor Farmhouse as it is does not justify its high prices. We were not impressed with our welcome on arrival and had plumbing problems in our room - the hot water was tepid, the toilet...

Dear randjcheshire Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. On the rare occasions that we receive a less than glowing tripadvisor review, we are always disappointed when we haven’t had the chance to remedy the problem during the stay. Unfortunately we weren’t given this opportunity as the plumbing problems were not reported until checkout. As you note...

We booked a one-night stay just the day before arriving, on the promise of good weather. Both the hotel and the weather exceeded expectations! Try as we might, we can't fault one thing about the hotel and its restaurant. On arrival, Jenny made us very welcome and showed us to our beautiful room. Top-notch salmon sandwich on the lawn followed...

Dear wrongsideof40 Thank you for this amazing review. We have passed on your comments to the team, particularly Jenni, and they are all delighted that you had such a great stay. We have now placed a sign on our chicken house to explain to guests that we have some new rescue chickens. We have always had hens from the British...
